This will sound crazy, but I wouldn't be surprised if 3090s hit that 1-1.2k price bracket like the 2080tis did.
They could hit lower. The 4070 will likely outperform the 3090 and be sub 1k, plus Ampere is massively overproduced and will be competing with a huge second hand market, unlike Turing.

Terrible price. Nvidia 'gaming' revenue down 44% q/q and 33% y/y. Missed their target by 1.4b usd.
Good to see their revenue dropped, Nvidia doesn't really care about gamers, Nvidia should remember that gamers are the reason they still exist.
