    Yeah, QD-OLED helps me study.

  • Still waiting for QN90B 75" get a lot cheaper.

    WOLOLOLED.

      WOLEDTHEDOGSOUT

  • I really thought they would get into micro led before oled.

  • Cheaper on epp store

    • yep

      $2624.25 for the 55”, $3374.25 for the 65” - S95B QD-OLED on Samsung EPP

      • +1

        55 inch QN95B : $1,704.45
        65 inch QN95B : $2,254.45
        75 inch QN95B: $3,024.45

65 inch S95B (the tv which the OP is referring to) : $2,249.50

On the Samsung Employee EPP store

        • Why list QN95B (QLED) prices on a deal for the S95B (QD-OLED)? The S95B is a entirely different panel technology.

How are you getting $2,249.50 for a 65” S95B? would love to see a screenshot

          • @deal-fomo: Posted it to make it clear to people. It looked like some folk were confusing the S95B with the QN95B (saw some comments further down).

Samsung employee discount is more than the usual EPP portals https://imgur.com/a/SJu8kT0

              @0FoxGiven: Wow that’s a pretty insane discount.

I assume this is for being a Samsung Employee though? Whereas Samsung EPP (accessible via various employers) is probably more reachable for people.

            • @0FoxGiven:

              Samsung employee discount

              No Samsung employee here.

      • +1

Yep that's the prices don't know why I'm getting negged for telling the truth.

    • Cheaper on store nobody can get on no way

      • -1

Just need to ask somebody who has access to the store already

        • Are you able to post what the Samsung frame 65" and 75" models are on the EPP?
I don't have access, but if it's cheaper than RRP I'll find a way

          • @damonop: $1,429.45 & $1,924.45

Honestly dont get the Frame. The features they sell you on wont matter to you after a week of use. And the picture quality difference is very evident on the higher models.

This is IMHO. I bought the Frame TV myself and I really wish I had upgraded

            • @0FoxGiven: Thanks, but we're sold on the frame tv. It will be used in a rural airbnb for some of the time and the idea is to have people who dont like TVs, they can leave it off and just have it as art.

Those prices seem awfully cheap compared to RRP (cheapest is $2195 and $2995)

              • +1

@damonop: We got the 2021 model frame tv 75 inches and love it. When the tvs aren’t side by side (ie it’s back in your lounge room) I’d argue most people won’t be complaining about the quality.

    • +1

      I didn't know there was a 75"

      • +1

Same here, there is no 75" S95B QD-OLED, @Hydro, I think you got the wrong model, on the Gov EPP, it's showing $2,974.15 for the 55" and $65" 3824.15.

        • +2

sorry my mistake, I looked 75" QN95B Neo QLED 4K Smart TV (2022)

    • +1

That's the prices for the QN95B QLED not the S95B QD-OLED

  • Wow. This or LG C2? I know you can’t go wrong with both of them.

    • +1

If they're similar prices, the panel of the S95B is superior. Only problem and the reason I went with Sony A95k was the interface/os is Tizen (which is pretty buggy). Would recommend S95b and getting a Chromecast with Google TV for streaming services. G2 is closer to the picture quality of the S95B

      • +1

Already have an ATV 4K so I might pull the trigger on this instead. Glad I waited. Holding off after seeing the deals last month wasn't easy.

        • +1

You won't be disappointed, QD-OLED is the next best thing.
Compared to the more expensive Sony A95K, which cost $5995 RRP, the only difference is that Sony got a heatsink built in, so the screen does not go darker after displaying the still image for a long time like the Samsung.

          • @kml22: Hey kml22, just wanting to understand this a bit further "so the screen does not go darker after displaying the still image for a long time like the Samsung." do you have a link or video discussing what is happening on the Samsung.. Currently have a q80t and wanting to get this for better (brighter!) HDR 4k content so just want to be sure I won't be disappointed, don't mind rigging something up to dissipate heat better behind the tv if needed, not that it should, but yeah, pretty impressed thus far from all the commentary surrounding qd-oled

              @RickoWest: Watch it from 1:30 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDeZ7PKwyXU&t=1s
It's not just a still image, this test is a video test, looping the same video with mostly the background staying still…after a while the brightness goes almost completely dark due to auto dimming, to protect the panel from overheating, due to no heatsink.

              • @kml22: Wow, thanks for that, crazy that you have to potentially void your warranty in changing the ABL setting to deliver a consistently bright image.. Wonder how this will affect real world use (changing background) but disappointing, maybe the next samsung attempt will fix the cooling issues.. Good reason to hold off getting it straight away, bit more research.. Cheers kml22

                • @RickoWest: I don't think that issue is a big deal, it's not like an average user is going to play a short repeat loop video, given the price is right I'll still get the Samsung, otherwise, you'll have to pay a premium for the Sony A95K. At the moment ranking are according to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrzakfTlcvo.
                  1.Sony A95K
                  2. Samsung S95B
                  3. LG G2
                  4. Sony X95K

      • A95k was only released today wasn't it? I'm tempted to get this as well… though the price of this TV is much more reasonable.

        • A95K was release last week. I'd recommend the A95K over the S95B if the price is somewhat similar. Otherwise, I'd get the S95B

          • +1

            @Lilipeter:

if the price is somewhat similar

That's the kicker, doubt the A95K will drop to this price for many months at least.

    • Everyone says this has better picture than the c2 but as a c1 owner - I am blown away so i can only imagine how good a c2 would be.

the stand on this s95B is crap tho - my 2c

  • Just recently got my G1 77-inch and kinda regret it due to the sun drench room during the day. Not sure if this would have been better. Guess, I can always sell it and get a mini led instead but been using OLED TVs for 5+ years now. In fact, using the previous 55 CX as my monitor lol.

So, just be weary of OLED even if it is the "best TV"

    • +2

Im not trying to be difficult but before dropping that sort of cash wouldn’t you have researched the fact that OLED may struggle in a sun drenched room

      • Oh nothing personal and understand the question. Started on the c6, so I am very well aware of the limitation. Since I finally got my own place after almost a decade of saving, this was meant to be the end game TV for the next 5 years. Wasn't really planning on buying this TV but I just happened to stubble upon an enticing offer that logic flew out the window. Since I had a CX 55, I didn't really need another OLED TV and it was too small for the living room. I had been seeing 75"+ LCD TVs for half the price for years and always said I would get an 86 when the time came.

It just so happens that I got it at $3.8K+$200 installation.

The marketing talk about how EVO panels are meant to be so much brighter was not enough to overcome the afternoon glare. Anyways, I am happy with the purchase. It is only later I realised that I started using it more during the lunch hours and need to close the blinds for it to be useable. (Also, I didn't want to get another OLED as the missus loves to put static images and it was mainly for her).

    • I have been using super bright Samsung Qleds for the last few years.

I have a very sunny and bright living room with floor to ceiling windows and my 77 inch C1 (which I got a few months ago) was a concern given the brightness in the room.

As soon as I played with the settings - the problem was fixed and I am genuinely enjoying the best tv picture I have ever owned.

I also like the ease of the LGs OS and much much prefer the C1 stand to anything offered by Samsung in the last 10 years.

I still love high end Samsung tvs but I think your G1 just needs the picture to be tweaked. Your picture should be even brighter than mine and I have full sunlight shining on my tv and it handles it with ease.

Best of luck. You have a phenomenal tv so I hope it gets sorted. Quantum tv on YouTube has some good settings for the G1/C1 but I just played from preference

      • Thanks, mate. Same here, floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding doors. It is all about strategic closing of blinds are the only way as the light hitting it head on. It is a first world problem ;)

  • Is qd oled basically the same thing as lg oled? Or something totally different?

  • Very tempting - the lack of Dolby Vision and larger than 65 inch option making me think going the Sony A80K 77inch would better suit my needs though

  • Good deal

  • This will drop to the EEP prices as stock rolls in, it's already sold for that little in other regions.

Expect the same price cycle as TVs with LG OLED panels.

  • This or the Odyssey Ark, QD-OLED vs VA with curve (Ark)

    otherwise they look pretty similar

  • I wonder if these models will be on sale for Black Friday ?.. still probably won’t get it as cheap as the Samsung employee epp store, too bad I don’t know anyone that’s works there 😑

  • $3374 for the 65" on the corporate discount sites, delivery 22nd Aug.
I wanted an Sony A80K 65" but for a saving of $921 cant go past the Samsung even with the Tizen bloat.
