Whilst $20 off looks good, use Placie at your own risk!
Booking through them is totally unreliable regardless which company service you use.
My family had serious troubles with Placie bookings 3 times! It caused us a lot of stress and subsiquently a lot of money.
We had experience when one driver accepted our booking in advance but then he cancelled it at the very last moment when he was supposedly 5 minutes away from us.
Another time we had a confirmation but the driver cancelled it 30 min prior and then there were no other taxis available through Placie. We then had to use Uber at a significantly higher price and without a $20 discount.
And the third time the quoted price was standard and reasonable, we accepted it but the driver cancelled it straightaway and then suddnely prices from all three providers doubled. And this was during a very quiet time on Saturday at about 9 am. As our matter was important, we had no other choice but to pay double the standard price! The driver arrived quickly though.
