    Correct me if I'm wrong but I heard that the Sanyo brand in Australia is now owned by a Chinese company who brand their TV's as Sanyo and have no relation to the Japanese Sanyo.

    Panasonic have bought Sanyo and are liquidating the stock, there's a lot of Sanyo specials around at the moment

    Oh how I wish retailers would stop listing "features" which won't work here.

    Teletext - not transmitted anymore in Australia AFAIK (subtitles are not teletext)
    NICAM - a stereo decoding system not broadcast in Australia
