Wow cheap is interface in Chinese only?

    • +2

I have the Redmi AX6000 which is Chinese only firmware. I don't speak or read Chinese but Google translate made setting 2 of the ax6000 in access point mode with one being a mesh a breeze. 5 mins to setup both so would not worry about if it's only Chinese firmware

  • Any recommendations on modem supports WiFi 6?

    • They support wifi 6 from ax3000 model so not this one.

  • is this a router modem, will this standalone work with NBN in units/apartment? or would i also need a modem

    • Looks to be a pure router so you would need a modem to connect to your internet service provider

    • If your NBN tech is HFC then you already have a modem (the black Arris box) so this will do.

Great price and seems to have Openwrt support.

Has anyone tried this router with Openwrt firmware?

    • I'm interested too. Will buy if OpenWrt is supported

I got two running OpenWrt + Mesh.

        • Thanks. But too late :-(

Can you mesh these if I were to grab a few?

  • Good price. How do I check if it'll work with TPG?

    A new technology - Beamforming

Sure this has been around for years

    • About ten years. But never before in a sub $30 router!

    • I have to switch it off to get my Asus router works.

  • Arrived yesterday, running openwrt today.
