IMO Next year would be the optimal time for Sony And Microsoft to release a gaming system due to hardware upgrates. It will work out in the long run, the Wii U will have the upperhand for only a bout a year, and then it will be meh compared to the new systems released by sony and microsoft
Next year? but there are so many great games coming out next year, no one would want a new console. (The Last of Us, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, South Park Game, Tomb Raider, GTA V, The Last Guardian, Bioshock Infinite, Tekken vs Streetfighter, Metal Gear Rising, God of War Ascension)
and I'm sure E3 will bring even more big titles.
Maybe they'll announce it some time next year, but I can't see them releasing it next year.late next year the rumour is…

I bought a WHITE PS3 with this deal on Friday, traded in Virtual Tennis brings the bundle price down to $376. If you want, you may trade-in all 3 bundle games and the extra controller to bring the price down to $336.

Sony said they have no plans to announce any info on a new console any time soon. All the PS4 talk has came from ignorant speculators, none from Sony.

The Sony Playstation presentation just started 20 minute ago at E3. It will be interesting to see if there's any new PS3 models announced (500GB?) or current models getting a price cut. The 160GB PS3 has already been cut to $199 by some retailers in the US.
Good Guys have 320gb ps3 2 controllers and killzone 3 $359. Not as great as this but still good.
