  • Why specifically 28 degree? Imo if it wasn’t for OG price protection there are better options available.

Also get a free credit check to see why it may have been rejected

What other fee-free credit cards with no international transaction fees do you suggest?

      • CBA Low Fee Card, only need to spend $3,000 to waive annual fee. The Low Fee Gold Card requires $10,000 spend per year to waive annual fee. No international transaction fee.

    Easy but why?

    any hints?

    have enough income.?

  • its diffiuclt to tri to understnad waht your syaing.

  • If you find spell checking a challenge then I'd say yes.

  • Forget applying. I find it difficult to pay; now I need to login to a different portal to pay it.

However I've discovered PayPal when you use their currency conversion does not charge international transaction fees on foreign transactions (not applicable for Amex) - so I think I'm going to use them until I come across an item where 2% makes a huge difference.

It's a bit of an about turn for me. Because previously PayPal had pissed me off applying currency conversions on recurring subscriptions where none were necessary.

So you'd get rather accept Paypal's rip-off exchange rates instead of signing up to Latitude's updated payment portal?? It's functionally identical, with the added benefit of being able to making multiple bank account payments without the 3-day "lock out". Not to mention the better user interface + app. Took me <2 minutes to set up. But if you have cash to burn I guess…

      • I found it really daunting. What I want companies/organizations to understand is my life and dreams don't revolve around jumping through hoops to participate in their systems. Medibank Private's rewards app deserves special mention here. As does the Australian Government's myGov.

I think you'll find the reason for the portal change was much more sinister too - it's to flog their silly BNPL offering.

That said, I am incredibly cheap and there's more to the story as to why I shoved the mentioned transaction through PayPal.

  • I got rejected twice .. probably cos I have two other cards with combined limit of 40k.
That was the reason I could guess

    • It's not, they have unsaid targeted criteria's that simply strange. Years ago I got rejected but then after 2 years and a few cards from other companies they just accepted my application that was exactly the same as the first.

  • Consider a debit card that doesn't charge international transaction fees.

  • 65k is a very low salary? Really?
