Yeah it seems to be that way, refreshing the page doesn't seem to immediately show all the results. Items can exist that don't show up yet in the results page, so by the time they show up for you, they are already gone/purchased by someone else.
Yeah that's right. I found that having an incognito tab also helps with this
If you use Chrome, just create different profiles (so you can also stay logged, instead of having to login with incognito)
@I Smell Pennies: Last time I was seeing something on amazon,
Item was showing in stock (even in incognito, Only 1 in stock).
But the amazon website would not let me buy it, it just redirects me to cart page.
Contacted amazon CS who was totally unhelpful. CS from amazon say it was in stock too.
but like 3 mins later it became OOS and price jacked.
CS offers nothing at all, totally unhelpful.
Any clue on why that happens ?
@USER DC: It's already out of stock.
When it goes to an empty cart then it means it is already gone, the Amazon website just hasn't caught up/updated. It's quite normal.
@hamza23: even if live CS on chat also sees it was 1 in stock and incognito says in 1 in stock too ?
@USER DC: A live CS or you incognito, seeing the same page that is yet to be updated on Amazon's end, doesn't change the fact that the item has already been purchased and the Amazon website just hasn't been updated yet.
Even with regular Amazon deals it is quite common for the item to appear available for sale, but adding to cart just leads to empty cart. IUt just means the item is out of stock and in a few minutes the website will update to show that.
@USER DC: Yes, CS are looking at the same screen as you. They're not running down to the warehouse and counting inventory and matching this with orders to be fulfilled. If you can't add it to your cart then it means someone else has bought it recently (within the last few minutes or so) and the SOH hasn't updated yet
