Guys, Sorry for the main post,I know this is going to go to a lot of people, I wasnt sure i should add it onto a sub thread but i thought i should inform you what i got told by Amazon. At times if Amazon reports stock being 1-3 available, it can already be out of stock but hasnt updated. I have come across a lot of items on here where someone tells me its back in stock or a couple available and when i go look it says a certain no. is available and i can add it to the cart and get to the check out screen but not actually complete the checkout process and thats because that stock doesnt actually exist.
Also for another product, where it said IN Stock and i went to buy it, that can also mean its out of stock but not updated if you find you are able to check out but it never gets to the dispatched stage.
Pretty crazy. But in terms of the low stock items which is what i guess this thread is about, for people who see reports of a certain no. available but they go and arent able to check out or they go and see it says no stock even if they were quick, it can also be that amazon is just catching up on the updates and so it may have always been out of stock. But especially confusing like i said is when you are able to add to the cart but just not finish the checkout process.
I thought this might be useful for people as i was not sure why i kept coming across this issues till i spoke with amazon.

Judging from what she told me, it sounded like the best way to know when something is in stock is when it says In stock in green AS well as it has a drop down menu where the number goes past 3. But even then i havent tested it out so no idea if thats accurate.
With warehouse products, the limit is unlimited. Only items sold by Amazon has a limit (example: 6 for groceries).
And this is correct too:
