    So, question….. I haven't been getting expiry dates with the few vouchers I've got, but realize from a couple of mine and others that they're dated up to 3 weeks. Now that the promotion is ending in less than 3 weeks, do you reckon the expiries are now no later than August 31 or will they still run the 3 weeks for redemption into September?

      A lot of these type of promotions involve the store needing to claim the cost of the pizzas back from head office. Can't imagine this promotion being any different.

        Its also does not add to store revenue, yet the store is inconvenienced for having to have ingredients, pay staff, etc and still make sales from paying customers normal orders, or the hassle of claiming the promo from head office. Plus there is no opt out of the promo.

        So buying an item with the free pizza may benefit the store.

      It's marketing money that Pizza Hut has allocated for a certain period of time. Instead of paying for TV/radio/internet ads, leaflets or billboards, they're spending it this way. That's generally the way all freebie givaways are funded. At the end of the day, it's the people buying the full price item that are paying for this, since regular price is inflated by a certain amount. So, you should be thanking randoms that you see in the shop when you pick up your free pizza :).

      Individual Pizza Hut stores are probably claiming it from the head company somehow.

        IMO these giveaways are possibly a better ROI than media ads as well as some may be compelled to buy other items to complement the pizza that you were already going to redeem anyway.
