    45,000 points = $22.50
    35,000 points = $17.50

    • Incorrect.

      • Sorry my bad. I quoted the wrong amount of points lol… too many zeros!!

  • Spend 30 bucks to get 2250 Qantas points. Eeep.

  • It wont be half price (or better) before 10 Aug.

    And $5 cashback.

    • This is an in-store only offer and not available online.

      • Didn't read the T&C, I've bought a $30 sim and activated already. I lost $25 today.

        • I know it without looking for the exact terms as there were similar deals before.

There was one time that all of them were half priced the day right after the last bonus pts promo day.

  • I heard that these starter packs can be used to activate the long life/expiry plans (180 and 365 day plans) by paying the difference in cost when activating, can anyone confirm this is possible?

    • Please explain?

      • It was mentioned on another thread that you could get one of the $40 starter packs and activate it on the long expiry plans by simply paying the difference. For example, buy $40 starter pack (effectively $17.50 after 4500 reward points) and actually activate on the current $60 180 day long life expiry plan (or 365 day plans) by simply paying the extra $20, making the total cost $37.70 instead of $60 for 6 months service.

    • i also want to know as well…..

    • +3

Correct. I can confirm that you can activate on a higher plan and pay the difference

      • Thanks, it's good to get that extra info from other ozbargainers! I think I'll give this a shot.

Moving from a 30 day Prepaid plan to a 1 year prepaid phone plan?
Moving from a 30 day Prepaid plan to a Long Expiry plan is easy! Simply recharge your service via our Mobile App or the recharge page on our website. It is important to note that when moving from a 30 day plan to a Long Expiry plan, you will forfeit (lose) any unused data from your 30 day plan. This includes unused plan included data, bonus data, data that has been gifted to you and Data bank.

    • Yes I've done this before and intend to do it again thanks to this bonus points deal hehe

  • How soon do I need to activate the SIM upon purchase? I'm planning to port out and back in.

    • I’d love to know too.

      • It is an instore offer. Bonus pts should be credited after purchase, regardless of SIM activation.

  • can you port out from boost to this?

Both Boost & Woolworths are on the Telstra network.

I've read a few blogs and comments in the past saying that one shouldn't port between two Telcos on the same network because of the risk of very long delays. This is because porting between two Telcos on different networks is automated, but porting within the same network is done manually. And, of course, whenever humans are involved there is a risk of errors & delays. For example, see this blog post below from 2019:
      https://austele.com/how-to-port-my-mobile-number/

If this risk concerns you then you could buy a cheap or discounted sim for a Telco on the Optus or Vodafone network, and then port to that one first, and then after a month or so, port to Woolworths.

You can check which Telco is on which network by googling things like: "amaysim network" or "lebara network"

      • one shouldn't port between two Telcos on the same network because of the risk of very long delays

It makes sense, but old school advice.

I was a bit worried about porting from Belong to Woolworths mobile (both Telstra network) but it went through without a hitch.

Took me a while to find a single $20 SIM, but there were a couple of $30 SIMs and more $40 SIMs.

Bonus points came through immediately as soon as I paid.

  • So, if i grab a $40 SIM but only want to go on the $20 plan, will i be able to do that and essentially just get 2 months from the initial purchase?

    • I am not sure. It seems only allow upgrade with WM, not downgrade. It'll be half price from Wed. Do not bother to buy it now.

  • Woolworths weekly sales posted. Still not on sale this week:

    • It is, just not mentioned in the post.

Wait till the last day, Tuesday for a possible 100% cashback, which was the previous pattern.

      • Promotion finishes today on bonus points

        • +1

Bonus pts on full price is crap deal…unfortunately.

          • @Neoika: Flybuys use to at least have the items on sale with bonus points

They've become wise to deal stacking.
