But its Tommy! everyone loves to be seen wearing TOMMY!
Change your washing machine
Yeah sure why not
I have jumpers from them for a couple of years and they have yet to fade. How do you wash/dry your clothes..?
Cold delicate cycle..no tumble dry.. just like my $30 puma hoodies that are going strong..
Unless it's wool, you don't really need to use delicate cycle. Try hanging them inside out?
@Munki: might try the inside out method. not much sunshine in Sydney these days..
@Munki: What does delicate cycle do? I only ever use 18min quick wash.
@Homr: They're for delicate fabrics like wool/silk. Generally it'll be limiting the spinning to lower speeds so it doesn't agitate the clothes as much, but I'd put them in a wash bag first, so it's even less straining on the fabric.
Can anyone explain how Tommy Hilfiger works? I swear there are some places where I see tommy branded stuff and its no more expensive than Mossimo or other sorta b list brands, but on the sales page they are tickling the toes of luxury designer gear, even with the discount I am thinking twice… How is there this much variation in price? is the stuff on the website of better quality than the stuff I find elsewhere?
Tommy produces different quality of clothing which can be seller specific. Usually the stuff they product for Amazon etc is cheap and lower quality. Same with bonds.
Makes sense, is there any surefire way on figuring out which is which(tips for bonds appreciated too)? I assume this stuff is their premium quality gear and the stuff ive seen in the past is the cheaper run stuff.
Tommy Jeans is the cheaper and lower quality stuff. Sadly, there is no way to know 100% what kind of quality you are going to get. I thought buying from website would be better. But, one hoodie is awesome whereas 2 sweatshirts have faded. I have decided to avoid this brand.
Yeah I agree with above comments - Tommy stuff isnt really worth it in my opinion. The only time I buy Tommy and Ralph Lauren is when I go to the USA and the long sleeve business / casual shirts are $50 compared to $140+ here in Australia. The quality is good though - I buy shirts from a trip to the USA and they end up lasting 5-10years.
Agree. We get ripped off here regularly
I've always wanted to hang out at train stations bumming smokes and starting fights but I could never afford the uniform.
With this sale I now can live my dreams.
The eshays wear Tommy Jeans, it's the trashy sub-brand.
You can get proper adult clothes from Tommy Hilfiger too, usually those are branded without the red and blue logo.
also 2% Cashreward
The generic welcome code is THW20-F5HI-A9N0
It will get you $20 off a $100 minimum spend. Credit to @Polesworth from the last 40% off deal
says "THE COUPON CODE ISN'T VALID. VERIFY THE CODE AND TRY AGAIN."
It didn't work for me the first time either, said to refresh the page and I'd just logged in to my freshly created Tommy Hilfiger account. Maybe that's got something to do with it or your cart total wasn't $100 before you tried to apply it? Sorry I can't be more help
it worked, thanks.
I found out that we need enable VIP 10% OFF to be able to enter coupon code
Someone please feed the poor girl in red-and-white on the front webpage.
All I can hear is that old lady from Futurama say "Tommy Hill-fa-jigger"
It's not the quality it used to be….
I believe the gift cards are also going on sale tomorrow at coles. So you can get about 9.1% off there too.
Better to wait until tomorrow and can stack with this deal, effectively giving you a further 10% off if you buy 1x $50 Her GC and 1x $50 Teen GC
If you create a new account then you'd effectively get $223 (the sweet spot) of clearance products for $89.92
$223 - 40% = $133.80
$133.80 - 10% VIP = $120.42
$120.42 - $20 welcome reward = $100.42
$100.42 - $10.50 (2100 flybuys points) = 89.92
Can we club multiple her/teen gc?
I believe one of each denomination will qualify for the bonus 1000 Flybuys points
just tried. after using the gift card, the $20 code can not be used…
I had the same issue, open the live chat and they will generate a new code for you. The issue is that the gift card counts as a "discount" so it thinks your cart is under $100 when the $20 code is applied
thx for the tips, wish I saw it before i place the order. I already placed the order and the agent Brad said they can not do anything and I could only use the code next purchase.
The agent I had was named Sherin so she should be familiar with the issue. Let me know how they resolve it!
Some of the base prices for these average-mediocre merchandise is ridiculous.
$170 for a beige cotton t-shirt?
$228 for generic branded shoes?
Why does this all feel like a scam..
Cause Australia is such a tiny market in the fashion world, we can't command the prices some of these brands deserve.
Because it is. The real price is 50% off due to all the sales
So umm…
Any bargains?
Thanks OP, 8 items for $293 after further 10% and $20 voucher
Tommy = wannabee finance chad, North Face= cashed up tech nerd.
These sales come fairly often. I bought couple of sweat shirts during the last sale and they have started fading after couple of washes..
