    If that's a wombat, I'm a deep-fried pickle!

    • +6

      Funniest sh*t I've ever seen

    • I didn't know pickles could get on the internet and type words

    • Pretty cheap if they've made it from real wombat

  • +3

    What is a wombat cat?

    • +1

Advertised as Cat Toy Natural Wombat on Kmart, meaning changed when the order of words changed.

    • That is exactly what i thought hahaha

  • +15

I don't think we should be encouraging cats to maul native wildlife.

    • +7

      You'd be fun at parties

      • +24

You've got no idea. Once I've had a few Fantas and the Pictionary comes out, hold onto your hats!!!

        • +2

Woah, you also steal hats when you get on the F juice?! I thought I was the only one…

    • +8

Maybe Kmart should bring out a made-extinct-by-feral-cats native animal series. "Collect all 20" /s

Omg i was about to post the same. Why are we training them to attack our endangered native wildlife? Maybe they should make a device that keeps cats indoors and not able to roam and kill.

  • +1

    So cute.

  • +41

For those who may not realize, this is a toy cat for your pet wombat.

    • +6

Not if you wombat is unnatural though…

      • +1

I read unnatural in the voice of Darth Sidious. Get out of my head

  • +9

Voted for this deal because it’s cute, not because I have a cat

    • +3
      • vote because one of the strays i feed is named wombat
  • +2

I bought this but didn't think to post it up. None of my cats played with it for longer than a minute, if they did at all. I think they'd play with it more if it had catnip.

    • +5

That's just how cats work tho. Spend millions in toys, they'll still spend more time playing with the packaging…

      • +4

These days they've taken an interest to my arms & feet - the cuts & scars prove it…

      • +2

        spend "millions"? man you're loaded!

  • +4

I like it, might get one to put on my desk.

  • +2

    That'll do pig. That'll do.

  • +2

    Doesn't look natural to me

    • Made of jute.

  • +2

I’ve seen more natural wombats on the sides of country roads…

  • I got one of these the kittens love it.

  • +7

I'd buy that for a dollar.

  • Did they do this out of old socks?

  • natural? where's the neck and torso? the head is connected to the butt :O

    • +1

Haven't you heard of the Buttneckasaur and it's close relative the Neckbuttasaurus?

  • +2

Bought one… Just need a cat now 😀

    • +1

      Thats what he said.,

  • +2

Just get your cat an empty box. It's free and they love it.

  • +3

OP, you can't mention your newly adopted kitten without posting a pic of your newly adopted kitten ;)

      • +2

She’s very cute! What’s her name?

        • +2

          Wife gave me a logic….. Female grey kitten…. Grey She… Graycie…. 😂

      • +1

omg i was not prepared for so much cute!

  • Yup, Cats even domestic and "cute" are natural predators - make your little moggy feel at home tearing into an endangered native species.

    • +1

Are wombats not like hundreds of kg worth of fur and muscle?

      • +1

No - wombats usually only weigh between 20 and 35 kg - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wombat - unless you’re a lazywombat like me and have put a few extra pounds on from eating too much chocolate.

This ‘toy’ is just such a bad idea - we shouldn’t be encouraging more cats to attack wildlife as it’s a big enough problem already as it is. “Feral cats are estimated to eat tens of millions of native animals each night in Australia.”
        https://theconversation.com/feral-feast-cats-kill-hundreds-o…

Do yourself a favour and get your cat a toy they’re much more likely to enjoy such as a cardboard box or a bit of string.

        • +9

Doesn't even remotely look like a wombat. Mountain out of a mole hill, this little toy isn't going to change the way an apex predators mind works.

        • +4

          Having said that I doubt
          - a cat would run into a wombat in the wild
          - they would recognise that the toy is actually that big rock full of fur

          • +1

@ShouldIBuyIt: The issue is not the toy, or the cat but the cat owners. I live in an area that borders a lot of bushland - we have a body corporate for the estate, and a discussion groups for the same - I have seen at least half a dozen people complaining that they let their cat out to wander all night long, and it might be late coming back. They might as well go out with it, with a club and swat any small birds, reptiles or marsupials they find.

            • @MisterQ: But what are they complaining about really? Is it really about wildlife or being annoyed having neighbours cats on their property?
If anything they gonna chase rats and rabbits.

              • @ShouldIBuyIt: Cats are known as a serious problem to local fauna. It's not really up for debate whether or not

  • Probably rhetorical, but it's a product of / made in …. ? I know I know, I dream of that distant one day, just one day, where an Aus native animal toy might actually be manufactured locally. Asking the impossible? Yes, clearly, but a man can dream can't he?

    • +3

      Hint: $3 RRP

    • +2

Plenty of Australian made stuffed toys on sale at tourist shops around the city. Just make sure you want to give your cat a 100% real wool wombat to scratch and bite on

  • That is hilarious!
