At this point I can see this game ended up in the $10 bin pretty soon. Too bad thought cause it’s not a bad game aside from the repetitiveness.

    • thats every ubisoft games ever? not bad gameplay / mechanic wise, but quickly become aimless grinds.

      • True but at least for established IPs like Assassin’s Creed and Farcry at least people can follow the storyline and grind through the repetitive quests (AC is doing a slightly better job at quest structures but still very formulaic and not as organic as, say, The Witcher 3 or Ghost of Tshushima).

But yeah Ubisoft is quickly becoming a shadow of their former shelf at this point and the fact that they just cancelled and delayed 4 projects does not help.

Have had this sitting under my TV for a year now, should give it a shot one day.

  • I hope it’s not offensive but, is this like Zelda: Breath of the Wild for PC by any chance?

    • Apparently it’s similar. Just watch the reviews on YouTube

It's clearly inspired by BoTW but it lacks the same charm. I found myself half way through and can't really be bothered to finish the game because of how same-y it gets.

Expect the usual Ubisoft gameplay loop except there's only four towers for the four regions of the game, and hundreds of chests littered on the map.

The world is devoid of life and the combat is extremely easy with you character carrying 10 of each of the four potion types and no breaking weapons.

For $19 you'll get your dollars worth, but its a BotW-lite.

      • Non breaking weapons <3

(Well actually I don't mind weapon breakage but BotW royally stuffed it up. When all you find is bone weapons at the start, they break constantly, you haven't found a billion korok seeds to get a bigger inventory and you've got no magic skills to compensate.. Early game was horrid.

When you're desperate to get the master sword just to not have to deal with weapon breakage then you know the design is broken. And then.. Suddenly you've got the master sword and the endgame is a cakewalk)

  • Need the switch price to be under $20 and I’ll bite

    • It's been as low as 22. Just track it on dekudeals

    • Ebgames ebay using $5 monthly ebay plus coupon is $19.98 less 3% shopback gift cards..

  • I reckon this will be on PS+ soon

So this games like battlefield 2042? Waste of money and crap

I thought it would turn out to be a crap game but it became my surprise of 2021. The fighting will start to be easier from mid game onwards once you have Phosphor the bird and massive critical hit damage. You basically KO big enemies with 1 hit.

The puzzles are also quite easy with the occassional challenging ones. Overall, most of my time was just exploring the beautiful land and enjoying the cheesy dialogue.
