This Vax Zen is on sale now for 50% off at Godfreys, it has a powerhead for deep cleaning and gets pretty good reviews online. Big capacity too which makes it easier to clean larger homes, and you can't go wrong with a top brand vacuum at half-price.

Probably a stupid question… but considering its a Vax, i'll ask anyway, is this wet and dry or just dry… any decent wet vacum cleaners?

I have this. It works great,is light and very quiet as well. I've never had a Dyson, so I couldn't compare it though. It has two heads, as the powerhead is just for carpet, and the other is for hard floors. Good model if you have pets. Can't comment on the price as I bought mine as a one-off on ebay. It is dry only.

It reviews well,seems like a good price. There is a similar model on eBay for $290. Having a physical store to make a warranty calm at is worth $9 to me.
Godfreys seems to have a rep for up-selling people, but this is not an issue when buying online.

This deal is $299 so we're paying $100 for a powerhead. Seems a bit steep?

Hi steve, vacuum has arrived but there are sparks coming from the connection to the powerhead and I'm feeling light shocks to my arm when I touch the metal telescopic arm.
I'd say this is probably not good for either the vacuum or my body.
I've flicked you an email so that you can tell me what to do.
Not happy that I'd used the vacuum for about 1/2 hr when this started happening.

looks very similar to a Dyson, wonder whether performance wise it's similar too
