Best price we have seen for this LED tube lighting great size, in store only but we brought one about a week ago and it was the last one and today they had more so seems that the stock is ongoing at least for the short term.

It should remember, even the cheapo kmart LED strips remember the last setting you had it on.

    • +1

Nope. Once it loses power it goes back to the default "flashing cycling through colours" state.

    • +3

      god no

    • +2

Stop using comments to peddle your own crap.

Anyway, half price here is someone actually wants it.

  • +3

I wouldn't get these unless you are really careful with them. Those tri pod legs need to stop skipping leg day

  • Any reviews as to whether these are as good as the discontinued slightly pricier Kmart ones? Cheers.

  • +3

    Damn those look tacky

    Update.

The stands trigger severe OCD as its hard to get it to stand up straight but on a really good note they are awesome for behind TV, Under PC desk mood lighting

Anyone buying one, trying facing it inwards instead of like in the photos. They're meant to use the wall and bounce the light off making it not as harsh like a standing Lightsaber.

  • anyone seen similar products that work with something like mqtt/tasmota? would love to replace all my ikea lights with ambient corner stuff

    • Tasmota uses MQTT. You won't find an off-the-shelf device using MQTT.

You'd want something with an ESP chip to flash it yourself or a really old Tuya device that is still vulnerable to forced persuasion conversion to Tasmota.

  • Good for when the power goes out since you can run it from a USB power bank.

  • No stock in Hornsby

Just picked up 2 of these from 2530, plenty of stock left but pretty disappointing output, they barely change the colour of a dark room.

Does the remote adjust the brightness? Maybe it's on low.

If it's not fit for purpose then under consumer law you are allowed to return them.

      • I was hoping to be able to use the as photography lighting, but the kids like em enough to hold on to them as "lamps".

        • Does the remote adjust the brightness?

  • You could probably 3D print a lightsaber handle and fix it to the bottom of this.

  • Anyone know if the remote is an infrared remote?

    • I’d say rf

      • Picked one up to check, surprisingly IR.

        • Wow - thought they would have got to a point where rf was actually just as cheap and more flexible lol.

Makes it not as flexible when positioning them as it will need line of sight haha

  • I'd say this is a idea taken off some cheaper version seen in movies and as you all know reject always carry some of the highest quality always even better than the original ones items seen elsewhere that tries to imitate reject in a day or 2, hence the steep $25 price. Most people would not spend more than $9.95 for a floor lamp.what a luxury!

  • At 25 bucks I'm half tempted to get one and see if I can pull it apart, put a Hue lightstrip in there and have a DIY Signe. Cheaper than buying the bits separately if its doable.

  • I bought one for $25, but it was missing both the remote and the power adapter. Should I go back and return it or keep it and negotiate a discount? I'd only try for the discount if it was worth buying another controller for it.

It's looks like a standard 4 pin RGB plug

    • +1

they don't come with a power adaptor

      • Fair enough. Then I'm just missing the 4pin to USB cable and a remote. Probably not worth keeping?

        • +1

No just return and check it before leaving the carpark

    • +1

      Return it for another one.

Cheers, ive been looking for a cost effective TV LED.

hows the warm white on it? Did you just install it behind the TV facing the wall?

      • +1

Yeah it’s ok. It’s worth 25. I haven’t really looked elsewhere. It ain’t going to be warm white like a nice 2700k globe tho

        • thanks mate

  • Anyone in SA metro seen these at all? The closest one to me (Gilles Plains) didn't have them.

  • picked one up from Engadine, 2233 this morning .. still had about 20 nr the cash registers
also got one of these https://www.rejectshop.com.au/p/ball-light-15cm
bit of fun and mood lighting for the kids, if nothing else!
    Thanks OP

  • Got two and can see why they are $25. Can't get either to stand straight, and hard to push buttons on remote. Probably end up returning them and get one of those ones constantly being spammed on here for not much more with a WiFi controller.

    Was worth a punt.

  • Got one from Carlo and there were about 8 or so left against the wall (if anyone is interested). Not super bright but good enough for my needs. Wasn't expecting much for $25. Stand was fine and mine had all the parts. No adapter but that's not a problem (or included).
