      Extremely odd to compare the specs of the ports for the monitors? Anyway G55A is VA panel whereas the G52A is IPS

        Ports matter slightly cos DP1.2 cannot do 10bit 165hz 1440p, only 8bit

            @DrDogRespect: The use of dithering is far less of an issue than the response time performance of the VA panel implementation… it's a joke.

        For VA there is still the Dell S2722DGM via eBay, just not at its usual $300-$329 sales bracket this month.

        For IPS, there's a few in the sub-$400 category, including the usual Dell, but nothing I'm aware of near $300, if that deal is still active.

        I would describe the motion performance of both Dell models as superior to the G50A/G52A.

            @Phlume: Keep in mind the Dell is one of the exceptions, not the rule.

            Basically trading small amounts of dark smearing and mild viewing angle concerns as a secondary, versus more powdered trailing and way less contrast.

            More motion content tends to get preserved with the Dell VA.
