Have to say good price for the latest pegasus, however this gen of nike sneakers are really not appealing to my eyes. Look at the zoom fly 5……

    • +1

      I agree

Their actual very AVG looking, Nike normally does better.

      • Back to Addidas

        • Adidas all about looks. Similar category so kind of ageee, not a serious runner but great for the price just use them and don't need to worry.

  • +2

Thanks OP, grabbed 1 in black and another in grey in size 10.

Made seperate accounts for the signup codes and saved $20 off each pair!!

  • +5

You can stack the newsletter code to get another $20 off.

  • +1

Great find - got a pair of P39 stacked with $20 newsletter!

    • +1

What is the total stacked with the $20 newsletter?

      • +3

        Down to $88

        • I got a recent newsletter $20 which does not work on the item wanted to purchase (must be new sign ups)

  • +1

Nice find. Thanks OP. Got a pair of the black/white Pegasus 39s for $88 delivered.

Looks good and it's a newish model with good reviews elsewhere mostly for full price $180.
Unfortunately they don't stock men's wide for some reason—- but the women's wide isn't on sale anyway so probably wouldn't have have been either.

  • +1

hmm to buy or not to buy, so tempting

    • free return for 30 days, so i would say buy

  • +1

why's the ladies' version of the Air Zoom Pegasus 39 in the exact same colourway only 30% off instead of 40%? can a female fit into the men's version but at 1 size down?

      • -1

        Proof?

        • +3

This was the source study and if you google ‘pink tax Australia’ you’ll find more examples of it and how the findings/implications of this study are applicable in Australia:
          https://www1.nyc.gov/assets/dca/downloads/pdf/partners/Study…

On a personal level my partner and I use similar priced Asics shoes. When she needs new shoes (which is something she asks me to do, mostly because of how much time I spend on here) when discount, and discount stacking happens, mens Kayanos come out cheaper than womens.

      • -2

Sure. How about a women’s pegasus with black colorway is 30% off while the men’s black colorway has no discount at all?

        • The 2 colourways are actually different - the female's p39 on 30% off is Black (with white outline on the swoosh) while the men's version with no discount is Black/Black Anthracite - it's all-black (including the swoosh's outline).

Personally I think the Black/White/Smoke Grey colourway looks the best and is certainly at a very good price at 40% off (though not so much at 30%).

          • +1

@iluvOzB: Just got back now from rebel, the women is actually black & sliver tick + felt smaller !

            • +1

@iGrouch: did you get the shoes from The Iconic in the end? Most of the men's sizes are already OOS, but there's still plenty of stock left for the women's version.

              • +1

@iluvOzB: Largest women’s is 11 (same as men 10) though slightly thin in the width, had ordered mens 10.5 from the iconic & yes have noticed majority indeed sold out. Always wanted try both on first…

      • -1

A lot of women I know earn a lot more than the guys….

      • Damn those capitalist fat cats paying men more for a job that a woman could do for less.

    • +1

for some brands, the mens version tend to be a bit wider. this is true for asics…no idea about nike, sorry. free returns/exchanges anyway and they actually hold your size if it's in stock so no need to worry about buying again and losing the discount

    • +1

I would use Euro sizings when comparing male and female shoes when deciding what size to go with as euro size is consistent. Eg I’m a 45 euro sneaker which; in most instances is a size 11 mens or size 12.5 womens.

If you use these to run in I wouldn’t cross shop genders. Waking is fine but if you do strenuous exercise I wouldn’t cross shop. As indicated by others width can be different but also things such as the drop (difference between toes and heel) tend to be more pronounced in women’s shoes (not sure why though).

      • Thanks - that's good info to know! Bugger, think I'll have to pass on this deal then.

  • +2

Thanks. The P39s with the additional $20 are a definite bargain but since I’m still very happy with my 4xP38s from the cheddar 30% off Nike deal, I ended up getting some shorts and a few pair of spark socks to hit the $100 mark before the $20 discount.
FYI for all, the Coles MasterCards from the recent deal work on the Iconic site.

    • I think the Coles card was for 25 bucks. How did you pay the rest in same transaction?

      • I got a lot of $250 Coles MasterCards.

    • Hi, what was the recent deal for Coles MasterCards? I must've missed it. TIA

      • +1

Sorry, recent for me was the one from about 3-4 weeks ago. This was the big one where people were rushing everywhere trying to find those $250 Coles MasterCards.

  • Thanks got the Gel Nimbus for $120ish :)

  • You can get $20 off $100 for 1st time user. I bought metcon 7 for 113.

  • +1

with 20% off birthday voucher it comes down to $86.40. but i already have peg 37s and 38s that i haven't got around to wearing..

    • +1

P39 is supposedly better than p38 - lighter and more comfortable with an improved fit. Would make a nice birthday gift to yourself with the voucher ;)

  • Sucks for those of us with EE wide feet

    • The normal peg fit is wide compared to their other shoes. I personally have 2x P38 normals and 2x P38 (EE) extra wide and find both fine for my personal use (of course EE is more roomier).
Have you tried a normal P38 for yourself? It might be that the slightly larger Pegasus fit might be fine for you.

  • Thanks OP, good find - my peggys 32's are getting a bit on now :P
Still got a new pair of UB19 but may as well have one of each.

  • Thanks OP. Grabbed a pair!

  • Just got the Saucony speed 2s stacked with the $20 newsletter for 135.99

    • +1

Well done ! Highly recommend these shoes for faster runs.

  • Bought pair of trail running shoes

  • Awesome deal, paid $88 with newsletter subscription deal.

Great shoes too, have the Pegasus 38s and love them.

  • Decent price, hoping stock available here after go try some at rebel this afternoon. I was already planning to get some for this amount before deal was even posted…

  • Any recommendations for long runs or recovery? My current brooks have got 800km and sole is wearing. Looking for shoes for my 80/20 plan. Have a pair of Saucony speed for intervals/speed/race

    • +1

I’m a fan of the Pegasus series and I would definitely start working on a replacement system for your 800km Brooks. Going for the $88 Pegasus 39s is a very cheap entry price to try this great pair of shoes.

    • +1

Can vouch for the Pegasus series too, go for runs twice a week and the 38s are super comfortable and lightweight. Had some Asics a while back that were a little nicer, but they were pricey (about $220 IIRC). For $88 these are a bargain.

    • +1

Never liked the structure of any Nikes (or adidas for that matter) I’ve tried for running. Found my foot to move all over the place in the shoe due to the lack of lateral foot support.

I run about 10km three times per week (aim for 45-50 minute time frames) and with sensitive feet. I use Asics (was Kayano, now Nimbus) and from my experiences what I’ve saved not forking out for them I’ve spent on physios

      • +1

@Gunnar - How many kms are you finding you get out of the modern Nimbus? I used to run in them back 10+ versions ago and found they would wear easily but otherwise were a great shoe. I've read the Nimbus 24 wears very easily so thinking to try the Saucony Ride 15s from this deal.

I do between 100-160km a month and over 1800km in my Adidas SolarGlide (not sure on number, but lighter than the current SolarGlide 5) and they have held up amazingly well, the Nimbus I had would have barely any sole at this point.

        • I’ve seen that on the 24s. Thankfully I bought 2 pairs of the 23s last year!

That being said I’d get about 1000km on nimbus, I’ve been using them since maybe 2017/18 (prior to that was Kayanos). I found the 23s are an awesome shoe for everything but durability. I got maybe 700-800 on the 23s but my routine was pretty interrupted with both lockdowns and injury

The sole and upper are more worn on the 23s than any previous generation I’ve owned and from what I’ve read the 24s are worse then rhe 23s. It’s a bit like asics have tried to go down the route of Nike and adidas for design and are making poorer built shoes for it. I mean they have an asicsness about them but the fit and durability are not the same? Maybe it’s also my feet and gait too

  • +1

Loved the Peg 35 and Peg 36. Hated the 37. How is consensus on the 39 - a return to greatness. I never tried the 38 but believe that was a move in the right direction again.

    • +1

P38s were also a return to greatness. I like the improvements to the P39 in the form of slightly lighter build plus the fly knit ties which were dropped off in the recent builds up to P38s.
I have too many new P38s right now so will probably next get the P40s or P41s depending on how quickly I burn through 4 pairs of shoes.

    • Pegasus 38 had a very soft heel which didn't suit my feet - ended up with bruised heels which took months to go away, thinking this was due to only having air in the forefoot and not heel. Hoping the 39 won't have the same issue as they have air in the heels now as well.

  • +6

HEYICONIC20 works for $20 off also. You're welcome.

    • Thanks mate, that got me a pair of Kinvaras for 99. Sweet.

  • Thanks OP! Got 3 pairs for the family and used the $50 off for $250 spend.

  • Do pegasus still 'fit wide'? I have wide feet, and these are the only ones in Nike's lineup that were wide fitting (unless I went 'casual' series)

    • They fit wide normally. The extra wide (EE) ones your may have read about is wider again. I tend to put my orthotics in those ones.

  • If you haven't already subscribed to the marketing emails, you can do that and get a $20 voucher. Just purchased the Pegasus 39s for $88

  • +1

I've heard good things about Saucony Endorphin shoes.

    • they are excellent the speed 2 is often in the 'best running shoes' list.
I have both the speed and pro - both are fantastic for speed work,

    • Yes, but not as a daily trainer.

  • I usually miss out on these deals as I have a size US14 foot and Iconic doesn't seem to get sizes larger that 12/13.

Anyone have any tips for those with larger feet trying to find a deal on runners like the Pegasus or Kayano ranges?

    • +1

Rebel was clearing out their Pegasus 38 4E last month. I managed to get it for 130. When the new Pegasus comes out every year, usually Nike and resellers are discounting the previous model.

      • Oh thank you thats a good tip

Kayano 28 is in stock for size 14 right now at 40% off. I personally dislike the shoe for running and would consider the 1080v12 instead (which people say runs large).

      • Thank you very much, just bought!

  • I managed to use the $20 off voucher for the Pegasus, but just tried to use it again on a new account for a jacket and wouldn’t work.

    • The same newsletter code? Mine looks pretty unique.

You can also try HEYICONIC20 for $20 off. If this doesn't work, you can always sign up for newsletter with your new account.

      • +1

Yeah the unique code. It said that only one promotion can be used at a time. So not sure if they fixed it or not. Maybe it was just that particular item I tried to buy.

        • If it is unique, you will need to get another code for a different account.

          • @CodeXD: Yeah that’s what I used. Made a new account and used the new code. Didn’t work.
Got my shoes though, so not really fussed.

            • @digitalbath:

              • @CodeXD: Just tried it again with another pair of shoes and works. So not sure. With the jacket it won’t let it have 2 promotional discounts. Same Nike promotion, it’s a Nike jacket. Who knows

  • US9 sold out just as I was applying my newsletter code. Guess it isn't meant to be haha

    • +1

Came back in stock. Just bought :)

      • +1

haha guess it's meant to be!

  • +2

thanks op just had enough time to go Nike store and try on size. Bought last 8.5 and 10 for dad.

    • I bought US8.5 online. Can I ask what size US/UK/EU you normally wear with what brand shoe, and was fit of this good?

      • US9 Nike, US8.5 Ultraboost if that helps.

      • I normally wear US9 for ultraboost, it’s a bigger fit and more comfortable. Bought US8.5 for these pairs as it’s more snug and better for running.

        • Bizarro world hehe

        • Tried on the P39 US9 and seems fine. My other nikes are 9 (Metcon). UB19 are 8.5s as i didn't want too loose given the fabric gives more. Best to try on both, fwiw the Nike in 9 and Adidas in 8.5 are both UK8. When i tried on the US8.5 in P32 they were too small.

Still feel like i'd want to wear proper (bit thicker) running socks with these, mostly as the back can scratch ya heel i bit with hidden socks (particularly in my old P32. Nikes are fairly narrow but nice amount of room in the forefoot.

          • @G-rig: You're scaring me with how vastly different sizes can be even within the same brand shoes.

I bought these on a whim based on the EU sizing that matches my current pair of adidas runners.

Worse case it doesn't fit and there is free return anyway.

            • @CodeXD: They may be ok, just wait and see mate
Air Jordans I'm an 8.5 but a 9 in Peggys so not sure.

            • @CodeXD: Not sure if yours arrived yet but I also went based off my Adidas sizing and the Nikes that arrived were too small. I've initiated a return.

              • @lordrupertliverpool: Yeah been wearing them, I'm a 9 in those but some people may get away with thin or thick socks

              • @lordrupertliverpool: Mine is waiting at the post office and I haven't had a chance to pick it up yet. What size was your adidas and which size did you get for this? Are you able to do exchange for a larger size?

                My adidas runners says:

                US 8.5 | UK 8 | FR 42

                I ordered nike:

                US 9 | UK 8 | EU 42.5

                • @CodeXD:

                  My adidas runners says:

                  US 8.5 | UK 8 | FR 42

                  I ordered nike:

                  US 9 | UK 8 | EU 42.5

That's the same as I'm using and fine.

                • +1

@CodeXD: I think @G-rig has you sorted as you guys seem the same size! I am an 11.5 US in Adidas and the 11.5 US in Nike was tight. Returned in favour of the 12 US which should be perfect (I hope).

                  • +1

@lordrupertliverpool: Lucky got in quick mate, it’s not even showing online any more now! Always half sizing up for exercising with nikes (0.5cm)

                    • +1

@iGrouch: Yeah I know, lucky it arrived quickly and I'm a rare (enough) size. The 12 US I needed was just about the only size left when I submitted the return. Lucky indeed!

                      • +1

@lordrupertliverpool: Absolutely! If read my previous comments, wanted the deal before was posted. Wouldn’t buy them until try at rebel & by then was thankful 10.5 was left not many other beside 7 + 12

            • @CodeXD: How'd you go?
I think the 8.5 may be too tight around the heel and midfoot. The 9 feels a little lose with thin socks in the forefoot but good with proper running socks.

              • @G-rig: Was perfect fit!

                • @CodeXD: That's lucky!
I think either would have worked depending on what socks you wear.
I'll try on both next time out of interest.

  • Damn and now the Iconic has given me a $25 offer if I spend $125 because I had purchased something yesterday.
    Ahhh. Full priced items only.

“Your gift voucher expires 19/08/22. Minimum spend $125. One use only. Only one voucher can be issued every 30 days. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Valid on full priced items only. Brand exclusions apply. Subject to terms and conditions.”

    • Full priced items only vouchers come often for me & never get used… Especially when it cancels any cash backs promotions!
