  Is 5e enough if I have gigabyte port modem (billions 7800n)? Or I need to get cat 6?
  I will connect my qnap to the modem later, both have gb ports

    For most purposes, including gigabit ethernet, Cat5e is just fine! :)

  Totally don't need but I'll take them anyway. Looks like I'm buying candy again.

  I collect SATA cables and LED torches. I might get an ethernet cable collection going too.

  I keep a list of stuff I've purchased online that I'm still expecting to arrive, and 7 of 8 items are Meritline purchases. LOL.

    make your own. ;) a 100m roll of cat5e is about 45 bucks from msy, and you pick up a couple of heads and a crimper, and it will pay for itself.

    it's not hard to do and the parts are cheap.

    i'm pretty sure you can score a whole box of Cat6 cheap if you are resourceful.
