    Gets some great reviews

    https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/humm90-mastercard

Having said that, most credit card companies get similar (but slightly higher) votes.

    YMMV i guess.

    • +1

Good pickup. Also noticed in the overall listing on the review site that you get charged $0.95 per bpay payment to pay off the card.

      • Anyway to avoid that Bpay fee?

        • You can sign up for direct debit I think? If it’s similar to Latitude products

These guys are sooo dodgy. Their call center seems to be based in Philippines and a lot of their employees lack the basic knowledge. I applied once and had a really bad experience. One person calls and says send me your documents (bank statements, loan statements, etc) via email. Second one calls and says use the online thing where you enter your bank ID and password. Then a third person calls asking for the documents via email again. I had enough and asked them to cancel my application. They could not even do that and a fourth person calls asking for the same documents 🤣

Bought their shares and got stuffed up 😔

    • It seems they are desperate and start old school style credit card promo.

    • This is now apart of Latitude group..

      • I thought the proposed acquisition fell through in June?

        • oh they did. Was still there damn. Sucks for holder like ZIP for SZL.

      • Thanks for heads up. I can’t get approved with them for some reason. 130k a year, and still rejected.

    • At least not as bad at Z1P

Larry should go and drown himself

      • Could be worse like ZBT and MNW which have delisted as BNPL already.

    What’s platinum about it?

$400 to spend anywhere is a plus, but Kogan credit card is $400 kogan credit with $1500 spend, no annual fee and an ongoing rewards program.

    • +3

Kogan $400 credit really that's more like a $250-$300 ish actual Mastercard/Visa Credit worth (considering how expensive stuff on Kogan is at times), and inability to use outside of Kogan

Pass. I already signed up and cancelled a few credits with deal like this in the passed half year. I am afraid this will mess up my credit score if I keep doing this.

    • +2

Companies will be begging you to take a CC once everyone stops spending because of interest rate rises and lack of payrises.

    • I’m not sure it will mess up for credit rating. But when lenders look at your credit history they can see these applications on your file and can certainly question why they’re on there. Risk to them is you’re about to load up on credit card debt and not be able to repay. As long as you explain it shouldn’t be an issue

  • Up to 110 days interest free is quite interesting

    Another churner

    • From what others are saying it’s a lifetime restriction. So it’ll be a one off card for Cashback. Not bad for one to throw in the mix

  • Good find, thanks op. But no balance transfer offer kills it for me

  • +1

I signed up a same deal in Nov 2021. I still haven't received the $400 credit yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

  • +2

got it last time, a pain to get the cashback. Too much follow up required. you will get cashback if you follow up and after 120 days of end of offer date after satisfying spend criteria.

  • +1

i actually had good experience with humm, got my cashback and they offered 0% interest balance transfer so did the maximum amount and paying it off slowly over 3 years. intend to zero it out before the next yearly fee as i am still in my first year.

    • what was the time frame for getting the cash back?

      • +1

Mine was only a week or two. Taking a while to cancel card though.

      • +1

mine took until the end of the promo plus maybe a week or so

  • Applied and approved instantly just now.
Reading the contract the annual fee is still $99?

    • Hey mate, do you get a virtual card straight away or do you now have to wait for the physical card to be mailed?

      • +1

        Also approved, no virtual card.

      • Approved , got a mail with cust Id from humm. Installed the app , reset password and had my virtual card. Already started using without having my physical card with me yet.

        • do you have to use apple pay to use the virtual card?

copying the number just adds XXXXXXXX1234 to the clipboard which is useless

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: Apple Pay.yes annoying that you can’t make an online payment.

        • How can you activate the card if it is still in transit by post? Meaning you wouldn't have the CCV or complete digits of the card?

I rang up to activate (without having received the card yet) and go so much contradictory info:
          * Can't activate until it arrives
          * You can add your card to google wallet (but it will not work)
          * You can use your card with the online partners and by giving them your customer ID

          Absolute $hit show.

    • Yes same with me.

  • Seems good reviews

  • Is there a min or max credit limit with this?

    • I couldn't see anything, but I'd say it's probably $1000 min limit. Part of their T&C's describes the scenario:

A cardholder with a credit limit of $1000 will need to spend the entire card limit and repay the card balance in full each month in order to reach the minimum spend.

  • +2

Was told on live chat that Zip Pay repayments are not eligible in the $4000 spend.

  • Intend to use the card overseas, no international transaction fees? I can't find details on this.

  • Can you use google pay?

  • This offer is extended until 4th of September

  • Their call centre at the moment has pretty horrendous waiting times and the call back function didn't work for me (just got a blinked miss call)
