if you play hand held mode, the oled edition is worth it in my opionion. If you can get the Oled edition for $400, get that one.
The screen itself and tablet stand is fking outstanding.

    • Only if you commute a lot but honestly a lot more ppl working from home still

I love my Switch, but it's still not going on sale for $300, when that really should have been the normal price, about 5 years ago.

It's already the most expensive console because of the games (especially when comparing sale prices, rather than the brand new full price of each game) while still being the least powerful LAST gen console.

    • Bit of a silly comparison - The first party library is fantastic. They are rarely on sale. Their online presence is meh but it's also portable - no need for a seperate console. If you get a switch it's not for the power - that would get rid of the point. There have been great sales for physical games recently too! The big w toy sale for example had heaps of sub $40 games.

    • Wii was the same. It's not specs that matters what makes Nintendo different and unique it's able to entertain you with the least amount of hardware

    • What do you mean when you use the terms:

      • least powerful

      • LAST generation

      The system:
      - works,
      - rarely has issues with first party games needing massive updates to fix them post release,
      - HAS first party games,
      - still has new games coming out.

You say you “love” your switch BUT… but what?

“I love my switch but here are a couple of XBOX and PS# marketing points that have nothing to do with playing experience or value and are used to distract and detract.”

The fact is, with the abysmal game libraries on the latest XbOx and the PS5, the Switch is not only still the best current generation console, it’s arguable that it’s the only console, unless you want to play upscaled old Rockstar games…?
