I need a 27" monitor for gaming. Thinking about gaming @ 2k, is the jump from 140-160Hz monitors to the 240-270Hz noticeable?
I want to hit high FPS (over 200) so I'm guessing I need the higher refresh rates?
No point hitting over 200fps if your monitor doesn't show it.
I game at 2k 240Hz and I can attest that you need a better CPU than a 5800X and 3600/C16 RAM, it limits a 3080Ti at that sort of refresh on certain games.
Cheers. This is for a future build so I'll have a next gen GPU. I'm in no rush so I guess I'll wait and see what numbers people are getting with the new cards and make my decision on whether to go 2k or less from there.
I'll mainly play FPS (MW22 / Warzone) so FPS > higher res for me
It matters for input latency, which is a figure you want to drive down in competitive games if possible.
u are right it does reduce it but it's very diminishing returns at that high fps
@Daffan: Doesn't just help with decreasing input lag, but also stabilising it.
The M32U is about $889-$899 at a lot of places for those playing at home too who want a little bit bigger!
Loving the price coming down for 4k@120hz+ monitors
