No reason why not if they are open to Vault crap and spams on their phone and also open to their Mobile and details being used for Marketing purposes. Don't be mean by asking them as there is nothing but pain involved for them :-)
So you are talking about a situation where several friends (different mobiles and emails) share one instance of the vault app on a single phone, right? I think it would work, but there is probably some threshold that would be flagged as unusual. I would spend it quickly if I did that.

Not exactly, when you friends receive that first SMS with the vault link. Can that be forwarded to me so I can click on it and get the $15?
@Homr: Yes, if you have the app on your phone. From memory, it has to go to the app - haven't done it myself yet but I think that was the story last time. So your friend sends you the link and when you click it, it will open the app.
@King Tightarse: It will by default open the Vault showing the mobile that it was sent to…..even if on your phone and vault. You could add it as long as you get the 2FA code that was SMSd to original number.
Once opened, you could then link it to your preferred wallet.
Question; is only one card given throughout the promo? Or can we expect to get another $15 card each day the temp dips to the required range?

Reporting in, it works on eligible pubs. You dont need to order guiness. I ordered a $16 jug, paid $15 on the card and $1 cash

It was but the bar tender was very nice and helpful. The bar i went to was only able to split card + cash. They couldnt do card + card, i had to change my order because of this because i only had $1 coin haha
I was upfront with them from the start saying i got $15 on this card and can pay the difference with other methods, they were happy to help

still wondering if ordering food from eligible pubs work or not.
I went to one of their participating pubs from the list and everytime I try to use the card on the eftpos machine it declined!
They were kind enough to let me try but gpay and the vault app both got declined. The charge for guinness wasn't even $15!

Yes but they were fine with that. Used the gift card $15 and then paid deficit with my debit mastercard
Thanks. That’s great your pub allowed you to pay the deficit with card. Someone else reported above they had to pay in cash at another pub.
So I guess split payments are possible at pubs, and some take cash only and some accept cards.

@[Deactivated]: I contacted support asking what the expiry date is and was told the card is valid until 07/23, ie. as per the date on the card.
@ilovefullprice: It may be valid until 07/23 but can only be used until 31/07/22, there's no contradiction in these two statements.

'Redemption' could be interpreted as:
1/ The giftcard can only be claimed during the promotional period. I.E. taken possession of from the SMS link
2/ The giftcard can only be spent during the promotional period

It's crystal clear what they're trying to say in T&C, no matter how you try to spin it to be the way you like it, there is activation and there is redemption and they're different.
It's not clear whether they can or are going to enforce it, but we'll know that in 12 days. Cancelling all cards that were not used by 31st of July and removing them from Vault app is trivial.

How did you get to request a physical card?
When you try add card to Google pay and have NFC turned off it asks you whether you want add card to wallet or request eftpos card mailed to you.
That's the one. The T&C's that say it must be used at X pub all reference the digital card. Says $25 fee for failed transactions on the physical card…but don't know how they charge $25 on a $15 card.
Darn. I got the text message from Guinness ok but didnt see it till the following day and couldn't activate my code. Guinness won't let me reregister either.
Has anyone here likewise not activated their code? Did Guinness provide another opportunity to register when the temperature fell down again?

Was unable to redeem at the RSL listed as a participating venue, duty manager was friendly but didn't know anything about it.
Did you get an error when you eftpos-scan the card?
Person before us who tried at the restaurant got an error. Was simply declined at the bar EFTPOS.

The participating venue is definitely hit and miss, It didn't work when I tried it at the Palace hotel in Sydney CBD
I went to Keg and Brew in Surry hills and it worked there.
Time to make a complaint and get compensated :)

Someone mentioned earlier that if the card is declined, we get charged $25 fee? Could that be the reason why the card no longer works since it got declined once?
I was actually at The Palace Hotel on 23 Jul night, as soon as I show the card, they told me straight away, they won't accept it. Suddenly the manager came and I just told him to let me try and see the error code myself. Guess what, it worked straight away! I can see his face freezes for a few seconds. Seriously not sure exactly what is going on.
FYI I used it for 2 separate payments, one with the Guinness beer, one with other drink.

@Homr: I can tell from the bartender's face, he totally didn't want to take my card at all, not even trying to see if it is working or not, that's why the manager came and try to explain, but I just insisted that I want to see it myself, why it is not working 😆
Not sure why the Vaults Payments app show the transactions on 25th as well, the actual spending date is 23rd.
@Homr: Indeed that's exactly what I was thinking, I can only guessing maybe too many fail transactions previously so they weren't willing to keep trying these cards. Lucky I insisted them to try the card and it worked!
@DoRaEMoN1107: With your 2nd drink, looks like the pub allowed you to split payments? Did you pay the remainder with bank card or cash? I am assuming it’s a 2nd Guinness?
@ilovefullprice: Yes, I had split payment with my 2nd drink. The manager said I can use either cash or card. But they were having some trouble doing split payment on their own POS system with 2 cards. so I end up just pay the remainder with cash to get it done quicker. 1st drink was Guinness, 2nd drink was Baileys.
