Thanks op, more collection to my cards.

Also like to note OW is also showing $34 (the 128gb anyway) and can pricebeat $32.30 if bothered

    • nws. Good tip for OW.

What size do you reckon is a good buy?

      • 512gb

128GB is good for me - I used 4 64GB's on my trip to Norway this year and was able to back up the 64GB card/s without too much worry if a card was lost/destroyed/corrupted.. 256GB + is a bit of a gamble in my opinion, a lot of files in one card

        YMMV

        • Thanks. I already have a 200gb and 256gb in my camera. Got the 256gb pricebeat at OW to replace the slower adapted microsd.

I tend to copy photos over to my phone and just got a 500gb portable SSD so I should be good.

  • Sooo cheap for great quality cards. No excuse now to NOT have dual write enabled for cameras that support this feature. Unfortunately my camera has CF+SD, so this only meets half my requirement, great find anyway, purchased 2x64gb to add to my collection

  • For microSD, they are also available at 64 GB for $19 (reseller) or $24.67 (Amazon UK) and 128 GB for $35.89 (reseller) or $36.47 (Amazon UK)

    • I've been using microsd with adapters for my Sony A7iii. Haven't been any issues but I think the photo saving speed can be improved so giving it a go. I did some research with some people claiming they got better performance with the full sd card, microsd can get hot and the adapter is a potential point of failure. The speeds should be the same or similar with the adapter as it basically acts as an extension cord.

Apologies, I was editing my comment as I noticed the price was from a reseller, so made it more a generic comment.

Interesting points regarding speed and failures - I guess I don't usually take enough rapid shots to notice the difference. My last failure was a full SD card, where it self-locked, and now using a microSD version, and haven't had any issues. I guess time will tell!
