Great deal on these wireless earbuds available at this price to all Amazon Prime members during the current prime day sale.

Personally I find these to be the best of Jabra's 'new' elite series, I have used both the 3's and 7's (multiple pairs too in case I had a bad batch) and these seem to have a nice balance of decent listening quality and very good call quality. In saying that, the 3 series aren't that far behind in respect to call quality but they suffer some issues with static noise when playing audio and the earbuds are a bit bigger and less comfortable in my experience.

As for the 7 series, they sound great for listening to music however; the call quality is horrendous, the active noise cancelling sounds terrible even when sitting in a quite room, even when the feature is switched off it still tends to enhance the slightest background sounds causing your voice to sound like you're standing on a windy beach. I will say they sound great when recording your voice via apps such as Facebook Messenger, so I think internet calls will be flawless however when you connect a phone call over a telephone network they seems to start suffering the above issue. I assume this is a firmware issue however; it is still yet to be resolved as far as I am aware.

  • How does this compare to the Jabra 75t? i find they have perfect sound signature vs 65/85t.

Haven't tried the 3/4/5 etc series yet. Pls let me satisfy my Prime Day spending urges :P

I am not sure mate as I have not used the 75t's, looking at a comparison though of the two earbuds on rtings, the active 4's look like they are bit better in respect to neutral sound which is what I would always aim for in a pair of headphones/earbuds or any speaker.

      Rtings comparision: https://www.rtings.com/headphones/tools/compare/jabra-elite-…

From the review I can say the Active 4's have better bass accuracy, slightly better mid accuracy and a little less treble accuracy. Keep in mind you can adjust the music EQ in the Jabra app to compensate for any areas they may be lacking. They also have better imaging too which is very important for any set of earbuds/headphones when listening to music.

The Active 7's also sound quite good out of the box without any EQ adjustments and are very similar to the frequency response of the Active 4's except they are excellent in the treble frequency range compared to the active 4's, just keep in mind the Active 7's are horrendous for phone calls if you do opt for them and intend on making phone calls.

Some other Pro's and Con's, Active 4's and 3's do not support multi pairing devices at the same time unlike the 75t's and the Active 7's. The 3/4/7 range allow you to use one earbud at a time, the 75t's do not. The 75t's are an older model and will not be supported for as long as the newer models listed.

      Cheers

    • Lightning deal for the 75s now $125!

Just looking for a good quality pair of ear buds and I really like these. I wonder if Amazon does tomorrow any lightning deals on these, but I doubt because they seem to be on an all time low already.

    • +1

This is a great price regardless, I bought mine at $138 which I would have no issues paying again considering the quality of the product.

      • Went to jb online asked for a price match but they didn’t want to make it better than $124 plus delivery. I live 4 hours away from JB so no point click and collect.

        • +2

That's crap, I reckon just stick to Amazon Prime, $124 delivered to your doorstep, I'd pay it just on the basis of their return policy alone, I had no issues at all returning 3 pairs of the New elite 3 and 7 series earbuds.

          • +2

@agk2020: Uhhh… Why have you had to return three pairs of the new elite 3 and 7 buds, if I may ask?

            • +1

@JownehFixIT: Following too, because I am one step before ordering elite 3 or 4. What did you say as a reason to send them back? If change of mind you probably still have to pay postage.

              • +1

@Thrifty Dan: There's no return postage if there is an issue, it could be for something as minor as a blemish on the packaging.

            • @JownehFixIT: I explained this above in the main deal post:

"Personally I find these to be the best of Jabra's 'new' elite series, I have used both the 3's and 7's (multiple pairs too in case I had a bad batch) and these seem to have a nice balance of decent listening quality and very good call quality. • @agk2020: Fair enough. I read that there are a lot of features on the Jabra 4 which don’t work with the iPhone. So maybe 3 is the better choice with an iPhone? There’s no value to pay for more features if they can’t be used.

                • @Thrifty Dan: I'm not sure about feature compatibility while using them with an iPhone, but the 3's will be fine for phone calls, just be wary of static noise you may encounter when using them to playback music and other media.

              • +1

@agk2020: Yes I read that, thanks. I didn't realise you had to send them back for these issues. Kind of sucks there'd be so many issues with the new devices.

                • +1

@JownehFixIT: No worries, yes, they seem more like firmware issues than anything else, but still, this has been going on for months… I had read of these issues online too before purchasing and unfortunately found the same problems with the ones I had ordered, so I doubt it was a hardware issue as others had said their set was working well until a particular firmware update. Even after recent firmware updates though, there was no changes.

As for the 4's, they have been great thus far, touch wood.

                  Cheers

                  • +1

@agk2020: Ah well I'll see how my 3s go when they arrive. Will be a shame if they're not up to the task of a few phone calls as I would use them at and for work occasionally. The Elite 65t Active really were the best buds I've ever owned. Had some Jaybird X2 buds prior on MKBHD's recommendation, but they were never anywhere near as comfortable due to being wired to each other left to right bud, and the ear tips were way less nice fitting for my ears.

                    • +1

@JownehFixIT: They should be absolutely fine for phone calls, even without the ANC that the 4/7 has, they seemed reasonable in louder environments but not the best, as for a quieter environment, they sounded very good.

                      Cheers

Got the Jabra Elite 3 today for $70 myself.

    • Yeah I’m thinking about one of them and want to pull the trigger very soon. Unsure if 4 or 3.

      • +1

For me it was a matter of features for the price. I'm used to my elite active 65t but their battery is dying and they're less predictable than they used to be for battery life. The Jabra Elite 3 has aptx which is apparently good for Android. No AAC which apparently matters if you've got an iPhone, and after the 14% Amazon Cashback they will have cost $60.20. Good enough for me.

So you have android? I have iPhone.

          • @Thrifty Dan: Yes I presently have a Huawei Mate 20 Pro with Android v10. Have been using my wife's Edifier TWS1 buds for a few weeks and they have aptx also. They sound fine but the fit and seal isn't quite as good as my old 65t buds, and no hear through feature which I've always liked, so looking forward to having that back in a set of Elite 3 buds.

Not having AAC might make them not the perfect model for an iPhone, not sure. Read the review 👆 and see what you think. 👍

  • Well here we are. Still haven’t decided and after reading this I maybe tempt to buy Jabra 3 instead of 4. I would need them for running to listen to music mostly, so I’m looking for comfortable wear. Maybe someone can help me to make a decision? I think $70 is pretty good for the 3’s. https://www.rtings.com/headphones/tools/compare/jabra-elite-…

Thanks but not really a saving, because I live 4 hours away from the next GG store. Plus $5 deliveries is not even cheaper a dollar if I choose the elite 4. I still can’t believe Amazon hasn’t started a lightning deal for the elite 3 or 4 yet. They still have lots of stock. I’m still waiting!
