PPS and GaN my wet dream
Woops yer pps.
I have Samsung's 2 x usb c + 1 × usb a charger. I'll stick with that for now.
is this a good charger? i need one to charge my laptops as all my laptops have USB C
thanks
Yes, This chargers works, it charges, Macbook, Laptops, no issue. I normally, charge items on all four ports simultaneously, just make sure you use the 96W USB-C for the highest drain item, like laptops.
Bought one of these from Amazon, has a really high pitched and easily audible coil whine when you plug more than one item. Might just be my unit though!
That's disappointing. It might be common as the review on amazon also says the same thing
with amazon you can get it replaced, can't you?
I think only return not replace
Yup, will be returning.
Almost bought one til I read this, shame coz its a good size for under desk mount.
I ended up opting for one of these Anker USB C 543 Charger (65W II), which i'm far happier anyway given its dimensions.
Got mine today, will report back about the whine others have mentioned.
Would love to know about this before pulling the trigger! Thanks mate <3
It's all good, no whine and beats my old Blitzwolf charger. Would buy again, full report to follow. Thought I'd give a quick update just in case it goes OOS.
I use a blitzwolf on the right, a shintaro on the left. Not sure if I need 96W PD but I am in the market for a new laptop… To get this or not haha.
@ATangk: So have you decided to go Belkin in the middle? 😆
So I thought I would put this Belkin charger through a real-world test. I used a Dell XPS 15 9500 (switched on) with 20% charge and a Samsung Flip 3 256GB with 65% charge as test loads. Power consumption was measured at the wall with a current consumption meter. Values were recorded after 45s allowing the load to stabilise. USB PD cable used was a 60W Choetech. Power consumption data is between a 75W Blitzwolf BW-S16 and the 108W Belkin:
Standby (no load): 0.3W v. 0.2W
XPS15 (20% batt): 60W v. 65W
XPS15 (20% batt) + Flip3 (65%): 23-35W (fluctuating; Windows reporting insufficient power) v. 75WBatteryBar Pro on win11 reports the following charge rates (charging the XPS only): Blitzwolf 30W, Belkin 34W, Dell 36W
No discernable whine/noise from the belkin (even when charging the XPS and Flip3 simultaneously)- I had to put my ear literally millimeters from Belkin to hear a faint buzz. Solid build quality. Comes with a super long, white, 2-pin power cable, which is great for getting to far away power points. Brand name unit with decent real world performance. Will require 100W PD cable (I only had 60W ones for this experiment) to unleash full charging potential. Can recommend. 👍
How did you get 65W with only a 60W charging cable? Sus…
Surely the XPS15 can take advantage of 96W?
It was a decent quality 60W cable that had just a few more watts throughput perhaps?
The original Dell charger is rated 130W, but that would be at maximum current draw, i.e., when the battery is flat.
Getting a 100w cable to test as we speak… 😏
Getting a 100w cable to test as we speak… 😏
Is that before or after the prime deal will expire haha. I'm mostly apprehensive just because the USB-A ports charge so slowly…
@ATangk: Well after this one expires unfortunately. We get free returns with prime, so it might be worth the punt?
@highon2str: I don't think this item is eligible for free returns for change of mind, faulty and DOA yes but not change of mind
@Datatemp: If it turns out that it isn't capable of outputting at 96W then I suppose that would constitute a fault and be grounds for a return?
How did you get 65W with only a 60W charging cable?
Also, actual output at the end of the PD cable is probably lower than the measured peak of 65W at the wall socket. There would be losses from the heat produced by the electronics in the charger itself.
DW it was just a joke. I knew it would be higher because of inefficiencies.
This have pss for fast charge s22 ultra
