What's everything else? Been looking at a kitchen skillet

    • Same question. This is so confusing. I am after a BBQ but I am assuming it falls under "Home". I'd be stoked to be told otherwise.

    Any deals?

  • +14

Plus $15 credit for $150 spend on AMEX.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/711185

    • Thanks mate, I only just now realised I had this on my card!

    • +1 thanks. Please also note that you have until 7 August 2022 to hit up to $150 so if you cannot decide on what you want NOW, just buy what you want tonight and finish it off when you next physically go in (before 7 August of course).

  • To those who bought at 17% last week….

  • +9

nice timing, i'm all out of everything else!

Are shoes classified as fashion & accessories? Was trying to figure out for the misso the other day but couldn't find shoes listed anywhere for the life of me.

Additionally, would shoes be 20% cashback with this?

    • Same question for me, misso has a gift card tho, and this says no gift cards, what's up with that?

    • Yes.

  • My last 3 orders at Myer have been cancelled by Myer despite them being Click and Collect and showing as IN STOCK.
What's more annoying is that the most recent one was stuck as processing for 2 weeks before they cancelled it.

    • +10

Sounds crappy, especially waiting to be let down. As a side note, it's worth ordering items separately as cancellation of one will void cashback for all items.

    • I have also started worrying for my order from last 17/10% cashback. I got the delayed email and then I called the call centre they confirmed the stock for my delivery posted code but still no updates as when its actually coming.

    • +1

Similar experience with numerous orders cancelled when ordered with upsized cashback. I never have any trouble with the tracking of my cashback from any store but Myer consistently cancels orders when upsized cashback is on.

    • I ordered a handbag once, they cancelled it for lack of stock, but the bag is still on the website today. My order was months ago lol.

      • +2

Thats poor. I have shopped with Myer for years but sadly don't like where it is heading.

I physically checked that my items were in stock before placing c&c. They were cancelled due to 'insufficient stock' but remained in stock online and in store. I re-ordered the essential things once sale and upzised cashback ended and they were magically available.

Similar with orders for delivery. I re-ordered after the cancellation but they sent items with wrong tracking numbers.

    • +1

This happened to me even though stock was showing in stores about 10km away. The explanation given was that online orders are fulfilled by Myer stores and if two (2) stores try to fulfill but actually don't have stock, then the order gets cancelled.

The recommendation was to put the online order through again and hope that a store with actual stock manages to send it, which luckily happened.

I'm still flabbergasted how Myer's online service operates, sounds like it's still living in 2001.

Just to add, the biggest indication that stores are having trouble fulfilling is if you order isn't confirmed within a day or two - it probably means the stores are running around trying to find floor stock before proceeding to cancel your order…

    • +1

i ordered an item that was in stock for click and collect, they cancelled it saying it was out of stock. However i had a chance to visit that specific store and…what do you know, theres plenty in stock on the shelf

      • In my experience, ordering men's shoes is a waste of time even if they have stock. For example, if you order a pair of men's work shoes, they check if there's any men's shoes in the kitchen appliances and women's underwear departments. Then when they don't find any, they mark it as OOS.

I agree, it seems particularly problematic when they have online promos on (online only sales or upsized cashback).

Cashback is compensated at Myer's discretion and its decision is final

What sort of nonsense is this? Is it intended to mean that Myer might not honour the deal at all?

    • +2

Sounds like an illegal clause that contradicts the rest of the contract to me

    • Have no interest in Myer anymore, since they decided to become a Kogan style Marketplace. The orders I've made actually from Myer have been often cancelled, arrived damaged with customer service disengaged and unwilling do anything and bordering rude, they've been badly packed, very slow to arrive. My last cashback was cancelled etc. The website isn't great to shop from and includes out of stock and many many items not available for delivery in search results. Just a shame really.

Any company can decide not to give commision to cashback partners if conditions aren't met. We all should know this by now.

      • +1

        Now, that is “Clear”

      • +1

It's one thing if the Ts & Cs are spelt out and not met, but the clause here is too broad:

Cashback is compensated at Myer's discretion and its decision is final

Does that mean that its fine if Myer decides to cancel someone's order because they 'have a foreign sounding name' or engage in some other equally abhorrent form of illegal discrimination?

In any event, I would have thought that CR and SB are effectively acting as Myer's agent, by inducing us to shop there, in return for reward. So far as I know its not been tested in court or by Fair Trading, but a couple of times I've found stores willing to accept returns where cashback has been denied and after the change of mind period by mentioning the ACL.

50% off Ray-Ban Sunglasses - Credit Price Hipster

    • +3

Man I am trying to save some money. Don’t do that.

    • +2

Unfortunately I have to try on sunnies, never suit my face!

  • I just got a welcome email, 1000 credits and 1000 credits for downloading app, have worked out what to buy

    • You won't get cashback for doing that.

      • yes I will, I havent even downloaded the app yet and the welcome points are awarded after spending $20

  • I ordered a gold umbrella from Myer online. It took ages to arrive and when it did was in a huge oversized cardboard box full of unnecessary plastic packaging. What a horrible waste and poor environmental impact.

  • Can anyone confirm if using BNPL disqualifies the cashback offer?

    • +1

      It won't.

  • Not with Cash Rewards

  • +4

I've always found tracking with Myer for cashback with CashRewards or ShopBack to be flakey at best.

Often items track at the wrong cashback rate, or not at all, and require missing cashback claims.

Basically, my cashback experience with Myer has been to do you research, confirm your getting a good price, and treat any cashback you may or may not get as a bonus.

    • I agree with your last statement for any retailer! Buy only you are happy with the price paid at the time of purchase, with no expectations of any cashbacks…
Having said that - I have managed to solve almost all of my tracking issues by disabling the vpn/adblocker as advised… now they get tracked correctly more than the instances they don't.

    • +3

I had similar experience before, try use phone app instead of computer, haven't missed one order yet.

    • +3

Phone app is always a good idea for successful tracking? Why? Because many people have things like Honey, adblockers, antivirus with tracking disabled, browsers like Firefox with tracking disabled and so forth.

  • Great timing, need a new jaffle maker and Myer is the equal best price I could find.

    • each to their own….
I found jaffle makers just aren't work the cleaning… can't submerge them, non stick you can't use a scourer or will scratch them, and melted cheese etc gets everywhere… would rather a cold sandwich without the post-sandwich hassle!

      • +1

A wet cloth does 99% of cleaning of a Jaffle iron.
The other 1% you might need to input with a bit of elbow grease.
What are you cooking that needs anything more (Aside from nothing cause you're not enjoying the deliciousness that Maillard Browning introduces to food)

        • I did some reading and apparently what I am doing wrong is making multiple jaffles then trying to clean once its cooled later….. which bakes on cheese spills etc from the first one as you do more…. Apparently it needs inter-sandwich wipe down… not very convenient to make a half a dozen of them for a large crowd.
I'd go a flat sandwich press with no ribs for ease of cleaning for some browning… its the jaffle makers with all the lines and nooks and crannies that seal the edges that are more trouble then they are worth - especially as I am inpatient and try to bite into it when its too hot with the heat sealed in every time!

  • Great price if you need underwear, and like the long trunk

  • Can anyone confirm if bedroom, home decor & dining is included in the 20% CB (not electrical)? it falls under HOME. Thanks

    • +1

Yeah, I'm keen to buy a quilt and would like to know if I'll get 20% CB.

  • is it eligible for the ordinary & aesop?

    • Should be, but of course it is up to the merchant whether they approve or not …

    • I purchased the Ordinary before and got the cashback. BTW, they have a special offer at the moment, if you purchase 2 The Ordinary products you get the 3rd one for free.

  • -1

Also just saw 10% bonus on Myer gift cards at Woolworths Indooroopilly.
And sale is on at Myer too.

    • +4

Cashback is ineligible on the following:

Purchase or redemption of gift cards for full/partial payment.

  • I don't understand the myer website - exact same item is available in my local store but it says online only. What makes it worse is that the exact colour and size I want is there in the store but is out of stock online.

  • Bit confused, do TVs qualify for the cashback?

  • Purchased Philips Jug Filter Cartridges & was only given 10% CB when it should’ve been 20%.

    • +1

How do you know what your cashback is already? I only see it has recorded that I clicked on the site.

      • Have you received an e-mail from Cashrewards indicating your cashback has been tracked?

        • No. I usually get them days after.

          • +1

@OldBugger: I got mine almost instantly.

            • +1

@Slappie: True, I usually do get them instantly looking back in my email history. Damn! It was a big order. Looks like mine didn't go through. Wondering if I should order it all again and just return what gets sent.

              • @OldBugger: Perhaps send TA a message & get him to track it for you.

                • @Slappie: I did but with time against me, I ordered everything again, this time not through my desktop browser, but the Android app.

                  Got tracking within 10 minutes.

Oddly, the tracking amount is $30 shy of my full amount. I don't know why as everything I bought were similar types of clothing. Nothing was $30.

Thanks for your help by the way.

      • Got my tracking email within 10 mins with correct amount.

  • I got these Ray-Ban sunglasses for about $80 (RRP $205) after cashback

    https://www.myer.com.au/p/ray-ban-0rb1969-1529295003-sunglas…

  • Anyone still didn't get their rewards? In the cashrewards portal I still see my 3 orders in the click history, but not in the rewards page, nor did I get any emails.

    • Nope; mine tracked fine

    • I just saw that cashrewards says allow up to 7 days. After that you can contact us to check it
