Doing a bit of winter cleaning and chasing down some 80L transparent tubs. I've had heaps of different sizes in the past, they always seem to crack if you look at them wrong. Does anyone have any brands they can recommend? Is the Bunnings version double the strength as well as double the cost?
The black tubs seem to last longer in my experience.
The Ezy Storage brand from Bunnings are pretty good. I've never cracked a tub but have cracked lids but that was from putting too much weight on them eg stacking several heavily loaded tubs.
Google removalists and see if they have plastic moving tubs and if they do ring them up and ask if you can buy some outright or see if you can find where to buy the same ones from. They should be allot better than the Bunnings ones.
I've looked for a long time and never found any. They deliberately make them with low levels of plasticizer, so they are brittle but I believe doing so makes them clearer
It's very noticable if you compare them to things made in the 80s and earlier. I've resolved to switch to different materials/procedures.
https://www.theplasticman.com.au/ has lots of options, including commercial/food service grade stuff. Fair warning, the good stuff isn't cheap.

My guess is the larger the tub, the higher chance they’ll crack… material science stuff…
Any plastic ones will crack over time
