      • +14

Not sure if I like the idea of a hot creme pie in my mouth.

        • +9

this better not awaken anything in me….

        • +4

I love waking up to some hot creme brulee pie in my mouth.

        • +1

just bite gently, or the creme will explode in your mouth…

And a cherry pie (said with Eddy Murphy's voice)

      • i didnt hear his voice, but saw his big toothy grin XD

    Counting down to McNovember…

I just want the McRib back. The only thing worthwhile eating there.

Australian McDonalds have no innovation and the rate of new products isn't on par with other countries. I mean for god's sake the newest thing they are advertising is an "Australiano" in essence a dirty chai.

      McRib

i must have had AT LEAST 20 of these last time it came back. so gooooooood

      • +1

last time they weren't very good at the maccas near me, the time before I did eat 20 of the (profanity)

        • i have a maccas about a 10 min walk/ 2 min drive from me - its definitely one of the crappier franchises and I STILL got most of my mcribs from there LOL

    • +1

Since I saw how they're produced it's a big no from me

      • +7

i thought the same when i saw how chicken nuggets are made …but here i am thinking about a 40 pack of nuggets for lunch

      • +1

tbh i think that doesn't really affect me. I've literally butchered a chicken and a pig myself.

The McRib is just chopped and formed with a press.

        • You really think thank. Hmm (said in Morpheus’ voice)

@FredAstair: You must be a vegan terrorist. I can sense the incredulity.

            • @meowsers: You know what they say about people who assume. Right

            • @meowsers: Then if that logic you must be the biggest fool i’ve met.

I love meat. I love real food.
I don’t like or trust McCrappy.

Now if that makes me a vegan….

              • @FredAstair: No, but it does make you a thread necropsy specialist as the previous post is 10 days plus old!

                God bless you and PETA.

Don't understand how anyone likes McRib. Tastes like spam, swimming in super sweet BBQ sauce on a bun. Only thing at McDonald's I won't eat.

    • I agree! the name "Australiano" itself is cringeworthy lol

    • McRibs were gross. But they could at least have different flavours of sundaes as a permanent thing, bring back the tropical & banana sundaes!

  • +2

lol maccas has a Creme Brulee lol.

    • +2

Feels pretty similar to the custard pie.

    • +1

Their special edition pies are always better than the old canned Apple pies, thanks to the addition of custard. This creme brulee is not their best effort though.

      • except they seem to get smaller & smaller every time, last custard pie was like 2 bite fulls if that

  • The days when it was less than a buck

    Tastes disgusting, don't bother.

    • just like your comment…..

    • -1

I like how you get downvoted for stating a valid opinion

      • -5

Isn't that the whole purpose of the voting system for comments? If you agree upvote, if you don't, downvote.

      • It's a deal no doubt, but gross!

      • +3

Opinion: "I think it tastes disgusting."
Opinion masquerading as objective fact: "It tastes disgusting."

Nobody can argue with the former. Everybody can argue with the latter.

The hyperbole doesn't help. Understatement ("Didn't enjoy this." "Wasn't for me.") works better. Ideally, say why so others can make informed choices. Didn't like it because it was sweet? Cool, people who like sweet can factor that in.

  • Blackburn Victoria store is always $1 for a hot apple pie.

    • No way!! Shame I don't live nearby enough, love the apple pie!

    WTF

  • +6

Just a heads up, albeit all the hype for szechuan sauce, it doesn't taste that good. Tastes like bbq sauce mixed with a bit too much soy sauce and a hint of chilli.

Definitely doesn't hold a candle to the sadly discontinued spicy sticky BBQ sauce.

  • My HCB was amazing, if I still smoked reefer, I'd probably return and grab 6

    • Token your advice, it was tasting better than usual.

  • +1

Tried one just now, thought it was average, like a half custard half caramel syrup pie.
Prefer the apple pie still over it

  • I wish saw this earlier (yesterday) would of try it for $1.50 not 4 bucks.

    • +1

      Still $1.50

      • +1

Enjoyed it for $1.50 + 80¢ soft serve on side is a cheapo mcflurry

        • Good idea. I ate it with the creme brulee mcflurry but this is a cheaper option

  • +3

Bring back the raspberry & custard pie!

  • Some accounts are still getting $1 apple pie offers in the app..

  • Anyone know when this offer ends?

    • My guess is 2nd August

      • My app has $1.50 winter pies and says it ends tomorrow, so hopefully will be extended further…?

        • The app deal is pointless in terms of savings, if you go to the dessert menu they are $1.50 without the deal.

          • @brandogs: I was more referring to the end date than the price :)

            • +1

@Craze: it's still $1.50 through the app menu

  • These are delicious. Particularly if your name is Amelie.
