    4pcs $8 for WA, so that's $2 each then?

    • its happening in 6th of July

    • +5

If 4 pieces is enough for you then you deserve to pay extra. Get that 12 pack!

      • Nice, I'm just wondering what normal retail price of Chicky CHicky is haha

  • Smaller packs in WA/NT.
    Slimmer people?

    • +2

Slimmer in Perth, but definitely not Darwin 🤭

      • +1

Well it is the meth capital LOL

    • +1

This is some weird marketing experiment being run on a mass scale. The results of this will be used to change their menu restructure. They are trying to find the exact menu choices where the small is unappealing so everyone buys the large, even those who normally would buy a small or medium

  • +3

$1 for half a chicken wing is way too expensive, compared to previous KFC 9pcs for $9.95 deals.

    • +2

give me kfc 9 for 9.95 hot and spicy any day of the week!

  • Been out of the loop with this mob for a while - do people still rate it? I went years ago when the myer centre in Brisbane CBD opened and it was okay but pretty damn expensive. At the time Korean Fried Chicken was seen as pretty exotic/rare.

Now I feel like theres a korean fried chicken shop within 15 min drive in any one direction in the suburbs.

    • +2

Go there every couple months, price is average for Korean Fried Chicken.

      • hows the taste tho? i dont mind paying for good K/F/C - bonus if ice cold soju and milkis/yakult cocktails are on the menu

        • +2

My local doesn't serve alcohol. My partner loves it. Though we have quite a few selections of decent KFC in Sydney.

    • +1

I only get it for the freeking hot falvour…

    • +1

Compared to MoMos in the cbd Nene is pretty average, better off just going momos

      • damn i havent been to momo's since 2016? 2017?
didnt realise they even did kfc

  • National Fried Chicken Day

Since when did we start "celebrating" fried chicken ?
    8-|

    • +3

It started in America and its origin is unknown. That being the case I say somebody just made it up and the fried chicken shops saw a marketing opportunity.

Eventually we're going to run out of days for celebrating individual foods.

      National Cheeseburger day is 18/09.
      National Pizza day is 09/02.

To be honest favourite day/week/month is the Birthday freebies that OzBargain maintains, I can usually manage 2-3 of them.
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/list_of_birthday_deals

      • You can manage more if you spread your birthday out ;)

        • That's the ozbargain spirit!

    • +6

must be scary week for chickens

    • +6

Ive celebrated fried chicken ever since I first tasted it.

    • I hear the Ducks and geese are shouting loud: This is racist!
Why are many wind vanes chickens but no ducks and geese! Cancel it! We need our 25m flag pole.
We need to be birds neutral. #DucksLivesMatter #GeeseLivesMatter

      LOL

      • If someone did kfc style fried duck, I would die happy

  • I could be mistaken, but I think the one near me does 18 pieces for $18 every Monday or Tuesday. overrated imo anyway.

Not a deal but better than nothing.

    • -2

Especially when btc is at current price :)

  • Never heard of this chain. I assume it's the following web site if anybody wants to know there locations.
    https://www.nenechicken.com.au/home

  • Should be the normal price with how small the pieces are.
If you have never tried before, jump don't his deal and you won't need or want to eat their chicken again until next year.

  • More expensive on DoorDash

  • People eat less chicken in WA/NT?

  • +9

Very poor discount. Normal price for 18 pieces is $19.95

  • Fake promotion for National Fried Chicken Day!! My wife has been to Macquarie store the store person refused to sell at this price. I will contact ACCC for a false/misleading promotion. Very bad experience.

Great shame to Nene chicken Southland, Willeton WA.

I went there just after opening hour 11:35am, there are 5 group of people had queue up infront of me. Saw they queue outside the shop. Wait and peek a look from outside but there are no staffs can be seen.

There is written note outside ‘Chicken Sold out’.

I asked the front few guys, and they said they will open soon at around opening hour 11:30 and no problem of chicken as the young lady had told them so at 11am. Some of us tried to give call but no luck.

At, 11:50am an old owner lady come out and said to the crowd that the kitchen gas stove broken and need 2-3 hours to fix. Told us to come back later

We all been waiting outside and you can’t tell us that earlier or answer people call before drive here? This front few guys standing for an hour just for disappointment and hungry.

It is true we come for the good promotion but this is lunch time too, everyone is hungry to find food for family.

My house is in the middle of nene chicken southland and nene chicken cockburn. Luckily cockburn nene picked my phone and able to do my order through phone.

I have to drive back and forth, from southland to cockburn almost 25 mins with traffic. and previou unnecessary drive home to southland driving + waiting with hungry stomach.

Very poor service Nene Chicken Southland
