yeah he has one rn but not that good
What about the Dell 27 Gaming Monitor: S2721DGF that you bought a while ago? How has that held up? If it's served you well so far, get him a new one or give him yours, and get yourself a new one. Seems to fit your criteria and budget pretty decently.

Im not sure maybe if the prices went down i would but its sitting at $799 atm
I wouldn’t get a S2721DGF for PS5.
PS5 doesn’t support 1440p. It’ll downscale to 1080p which looks terrible.
100% can attest to this.
Recently got an additional 4K monitor just for the sake of PS5.
Something like this:
Asus VG279QL1A - https://www.umart.com.au/product/asus-tuf-27in-fhd-led-ips-1…
or a bit cheaper are the AOC monitors which are great
AOC 27in QHD IPS 170Hz G-Sync Gaming Monitor - https://www.umart.com.au/product/aoc-27in-qhd-ips-170hz-g-sy…
Avoid any QHD/1440p monitors since PS5 doesn’t support them and will downscale to 1080p which will look terrible
Bit of a waste to run a PS5 on a 1080p monitor. Does he specifically only play FPS games?
Yeah mostly
Considering how little games run at 120hz on PS5 you'd get much more benefit out of a 4k 60hz screen. Best of both worlds would likely be the S2721DGF as it can downsample a 4k signal to its 1440P panel
I might just wait for a listing.
The PS5 won’t output 4K unless it’s one of the few supported 1440p monitors models. I don’t believe the S2721DGF is one of them
This was just posted. The G2722HS looks like a great option 27inch 1080p @ 165Hz for $219
Size? Budget? Do you/your dad already have a TV that he can hook it up to?
