I used to own this, generally good, cheap tablet. I eventually sold it on as the touchscreen is a little flaky, 5% of touchs didnt register, which just became frustrating to use.

May have just been my unit - YMMV

    • I suspect your unit as I have had no touch issues nor have I really experienced any lag listed below (I go between it and my sd870 poco f3 multiple times a day and the P11 doesn't feel noticeably slower.

My reason for caution on this is the lack of hardware x265 decoding, meaning I have to be very careful with the files I play on it and that I can't play the majority of the content on my Nas.

I am considering selling mine for something with hardware x265 decoding as it became quite annoying to load up with content for a recent trip.

      • what are you planning to get instead? I want to a tablet for Plex and x265 decoding is important and this tablet looked to fit the bill until I saw your comment.

        • I really don't know, but after just getting back from a trip with it I just have had enough of that feature missing.

Qualcomm did a shifty by including x265 decoding in the 660 and 665 but sneakily omitting it from the 662.

        • Check Clear’s deals. I got the slightly better Lenovo tab p11 pro and I FKN love it! I needed it for x265 torrents and it works perfectly

Bought this tablet recently.. works wonderfully well. My use is limited to streaming and light web browsing

    • But people should be aware that if they are expecting a snappy, lag-free experience, this tablet does experience a little lag when switching apps and some lag when responding to user input.

It's $264 aud yes, but personally was hoping for a smoother experience with 6gb ram

      • I haven't used high end tablets, but both low low end and mid end have lag compared to my 5 year old iPad.

  • I haven't had any issues with lag.. great experience so far

  • It's also good for kids, comes with Google Kids Space launcher.

  • No headphone socket?

    • Oh, there's not? Just looking into this for Roblox / Minecraft and streaming / movies for the young one. Is it USB C maybe?

      • +1

It is USB C for headphones.

        • Yep, thanks for confirming.

  • Any recommendations on cases for these? Ebay seems to refer to 2020 and 2021 models.. does it matter?
