                @King Steuart: Fair enough, not for everyone. I play Catan every weekend with the misso and inlaws basically for at least the last 6 months. Though we have the 5-6 extension and Seafarers expansion/extension which gives it a lot more variation. Love that it's simple to pick up for anyone but can make sure every game is different.

    Catan is one of the best "gateway" board games out there, it'll show your friends there's a huge gap between luck based dice rollers and family board games, to serious tactic based but very accessible games.
