Eh, I got the X at launch and wish I went for the S.
I'm getting older and don't take note of performance like I used to. I also have less time to play games, so wouldn't be filling up the storage. I should have saved my money.
Sounds like you did the right thing at least you can sell your X now for retail and go buy the S for much less because no one wants them

This has been a good console for me as an accessory to the XSX, I wouldn't recommend it above $350 in 2022 if it's your primary console.
Everyone's situation is different, as I said in another recent Xbox deal, I opted to get the Series S first (waited months and it seemed like getting the Series X was taking too long, so went with the next best thing. Only cost me $220, so it wasn't an expensive hit to the wallet. I was ok with it as things stood, the all digital aspect didn't phase me (pretty much have been 90% digital 10% physical over the last 5 or so years anyway). Only concern was the storage space, solved that by buying a 2TB expansion card not too long ago.
Funny thing is while the Series S was going to be my stop gap until I was able to secure a Series X…. I obtained the Series X within a month of buying the Series S lol. And once I got it (as I said previously) I kept the same setup as I had - the Series S in my main lounge room (65" 4K tv) and plonked the Series X in a spare room that I don't always game in. Thus months later I can say I've used the Series S a lot more than the Series X…. in saying that I recently did FINALLY switch the consoles to the opposite rooms… only I've started gaming in the spare room a lot more since, so the Series X still isn't getting the respect/the usage that it should :P
Game Pass sucks. It takes money from the developer as more people get their game for cheap and temporarily. Owners don’t get to own the games. Microsoft wins.

You don't understand how game pass works. Developer have to choose to put their games on there, and MS pay them if they want it on there, either via negotiated up front fees (which often pay for the entire development of the game, which is AMAZING for the developers) or in payment plans based on factors like downloads and playtime.

Bought a series X in the last round from EB Games. Spend most my time playing on Retroarch. Haha. Loving it though!

What games have you been playing?
Just a heap of Neo Geo, mainly the shooters and then just jumping into random Capcom fighters to check them out. JoJos Bizarre Adventure is a trip haha. Loving comparing the arcade games to my memory of SNES games (King of Monsters, Saturday Night Slam, etc).
My old faves of Smash TV and Total Carnage getting some work too.
Also been trying some romhacks, such as DS Zeldas and Metroid.
Tried Olija on an off chance to get an achievement and actually ended up loving the game,and now playing Dead Cells as I never got into it at release.
It's hilarious I'm playing all these retro games. I have started Guardians of the G though which is impressive to say the least. Fallen Order seems boring and predictable as all hell.
