could you please elaborate why the Philips one is the best?
It works via local WiFi without internet because of the Philips hub, which again could be a major disadvantage for people outside Philips smart lights ecosystem. Also it works with Siri / HomeKit.
I have been using Philips hue devices and the failure rate to not follow your instructions via smart assistant is super rare. I have used Kasa n Tapo and not happy due to reliability issues.Good info for me thanks. I have never looked at the Philips one because of the cost.
Thanks, its not giving the option to add more once poll is started.
Kogan works just as good, But I prefer ewelink its more reliable
I used to use TP Link Kasa and I thought they were the best until I switched to HomeKit. Kasa doesn’t offer native HomeKit support (unless you want to use Home Assistant) and now I would rate Meross as hands down the best smart plugs with energy monitoring. They natively work with Google, Alexa and HomeKit. Meross also has the best smart garage door opener they work best together.
Homekit is app of apple that can be used to add different smart items from different brands and controlled from a single app?
Yes. HomeKit is like Google and Alexa but for Apple.
https://www.athom.tech/products because I use esphome/tasmota with Home Assistant :)
What about Genio? https://www.kmart.com.au/product/mirabella-genio-wi-fi-doubl…
My whole house runs on Genio smart products. Love them all with the door sensors, smart downlights, smart power adaptors.
I got one of most brands.
No one is the same.
I use wifi on demand from my mobile. FTTH is switched off.
Main issue: 2.4 GHz is overcrowded.
Anybody here knows a source of 5GHz models? Most of these (Brilliant, Tenda, Cygnett, Arlec for sure) are Tuya white-label devices, which means they're all inter-compatible and almost always have the same base features and limitations e.g. 2.4GHz only.
Add Philips SmartPlug.
It’s expensive but the best..
