Which BT Speaker for $300

Hi,

Sick of cheap arse crap sounding BT speakers.

What do people suggest for a max of $300, obviously bargains are welcomed.

Thanks.

  • Tell us more about your use case:
    Fixed (no battery) or portable?
What is most important? size, battery life, sound quality, other?
Do you want to have multiple devices paired to it?
Do you want to take calls with it?
How loud do you want it/how big is the space you want to use it in?

  • Portable,
    Single device
    Sound quality
Loud as it will be used in a house where person/s can be moving around throughout ie: tradie.

  • Have a look at the Tribit range on Amazon.
    StormBox Pro 40W.
You could buy two for $300.

  • The JBL Xtreme is a good option for plenty of volume and long battery life. Downside is that it uses its own power adapter and can't charge via USB. The smaller JBL Charge will charge via USB.

While both are somewhat bass-heavy they have very clear and robust sound - I've tried many of these speakers and found that only the Megaboom was close

  • If you are a tradie, how about checking out the Powertool battery compatible skin options?

Just an example but pretty sure multiple brands have these "Bluetooth speaker skin" options so you can pick the ones you have batteries for and compare the specifications.

  • You're welcome 😐

  • Hey askme69, I just found this large bluetooth speaker on sale.
