  Single device
  Sound quality
  Loud as it will be used in a house where person/s can be moving around throughout ie: tradie.

  You could buy two for $300.

  The JBL Xtreme is a good option for plenty of volume and long battery life. Downside is that it uses its own power adapter and can't charge via USB. The smaller JBL Charge will charge via USB.

  While both are somewhat bass-heavy they have very clear and robust sound - I've tried many of these speakers and found that only the Megaboom was close

  Just an example but pretty sure multiple brands have these "Bluetooth speaker skin" options so you can pick the ones you have batteries for and compare the specifications.
