Received an email on this from Breville today.I know some people have asked about coffee machines where the tamping is done by the machine. Not sure if people see this as a gimmick but I thought I’d put this out there. I’m not sure when it is available and I would wait for the price drop before buying anyway.

the 'it learns from the last shot' sounds great unless you live with an annoying person who only drinks decaf meaning you have to change beans every single shot…
If your housemate drinks decaf you have bigger problems than the dosage.

I have a separate grinder. but only one. Apparently the amount I'm prepared to spend to avoid me being annoyed is less than the $250 for a second breville smart grinder (not to mention bench space)

Does it have the better steam wand and step less grinder like the Barista pro I wonder. If not it’s not worth it. Well it definitely won’t be worth it until there’s some discounting on it anyway
