        Mainly followed Electronics&Computers on YouTube. He has videos for both HDD and thermal paste replacement. Also Joe's Gaming & Electronics for getting the case back on as that was one of the trickiest. It took several hours as I didn't want to make any mistakes or damage anything, but it was worth it.

        Because the fans would get really loud (I'm talking full blast) if I played 4k games. It was pretty distracting unless I wore headphones. The system even shut off automatically once and said it was overheating. I replaced the thermal paste with MX-4. Obviously runs cooler because it's MUCH quieter now, just like how it was when I first got it. Worthwhile maintenance.
