$340 off Accessories + 100 Days Trial (Was 30 Days) with Purchase of Peloton Bike or Bike+ @ Peloton

70

Just noticed that Peloton have some sort of an EOFY deal going. Trial period has gone up from 30 to 100 days and they are now offering a $340 voucher to spend on accessories with purchase of one of the bikes. Not sure if the voucher stacks with the $150 referral.

Peloton bike prices (duplicate information removed from title)

  • Peloton Bike $2,145 (was $2,645)
  • Peloton Bike+ $2,995 (was $3,695)
  • Metro Delivered Only

We ordered ours a week just before this was announced, -doh- but if you've ever wanted to give it a go, now seems like a good time to try out a bike risk-free for 100 days. Any accessories on the same order (shoes etc.) can also be returned for a full refund during the trial period. Also FYI there are aftermarket swivel brackets for the Bike, to make the screen swivel like the one on the Bike+; just in case this is a consideration for anyone.

Offer of $340 off accessories is only valid with the purchase of a full price Peloton Bike or Bike+. Order must be placed between 0:00 AM AEST on 14 June 2022 and 23:59 PM AEST on 27 June 2022. Offer applied at checkout. One offer per order only. No substitutions. No cash value. Cannot be combined with other offers. Offer is not transferable. While supplies last. Not valid outside Australia. If you return the Peloton Bike or Bike+ for a refund but you do not return the accessories, you will be refunded the cost of the Peloton Bike or Bike+ (as applicable) less the amount you saved on the accessories. Peloton reserves the right to change, cancel or limit offers at any time and for any reason. Internet connection and Peloton All-Access Membership ($59/mo) required to access full Peloton content. Available in select cities and surrounding areas only.

  • not a deal for me, but amex also has spend $2k get 15% back up to $450

    • Yup I finally gave in with the extra amex offer. Ends up being 2.5k for the bike+, as well as including the free accessories. I promised myself I'll return it if I don't use a lot during the 100 days!

Kind of want one but also can’t justify the price and I’m a little worried peloton will go bust in the next half decade

    • +2

You should look at Zwift then, or other similar indoor training apps.

You'll have an actual bike that you can ride outside (and an indoor trainer that you can use with other apps) even if Zwift goes bust.

  • Do you need to keep paying anything else once you have the bike?

    • +1

$60/mth subscription required to use the bike I’m pretty sure

      • +1

Not required to use the bike. Required to take the classes.

        • Thanks, i was wondering that! So what can you actually do with the bike without the sub that you cant do with any other exercise bike…? is anything included?

  • +3

    Just get an assault bike

I have a couple of workmates with the renpho bike
    https://www.amazon.com.au/RENPHO-AI-Powered-Exercise-Resista…
that plus a $22/month zwift subscription is a hell of a lot cheaper than the above

  • FYI, Voucher doesn't stack - it is whichever the discount is greater.

"We ordered ours a week just before this was announced, -doh- but if you've ever wanted to give it a go, now seems like a good time to try out a bike risk-free for 100 days."

…email them and ask them - we did the same and they gave us a refund for the difference. Customer support is very good!

As a rider, with a road bike for outdoor rides, I have found the Peleton useful for our unpredictable weather these days in Melb. Will continue training/riding over Winter. Yes Swift seems nice - but theres no setup required with the Peleton obviously, and it rides silently - whereas compared to an indoor trainer with the bike, good luck if you have kids that are light sleepers! Having ridden indoor trainers - the quality and solid build of the Peleton Bike just makes it a good purchase.

For reference, I have the standard Peleton Bike, have had it since January (initial trial period, then purchased).

    • Thanks, I've emailed them about the voucher :)

The $59/mth is a fair bit, but if it will keep us active 365 days a year regardless of weather, it will be a worthwhile investment. We do strength training/HIIT sessions weekly but have been lacking cardio. Not a fan of running or swimming so hopefully the peloton will fill the gap!

Have been using the non-bike workouts on the app while waiting for the delivery of the bike. The instructors are engaging and incredibly fit…

    • @bernzsta Just wanted to say thanks for suggesting this. Peloton said I would be eligible, so I ended up sending them a list of things I wanted to the value of $340 and they are sending it to me! :)

  • I've never understood how they charge $16.99 per month for full access to all the peloton classes, but if you spend 3k on one of their bikes, they'll charge you $59 per month for access to the same classes.

  • I'd be wary of purchasing a Peloton right now. They've had a massive downturn in business and I'm not sure if they'll be around in a year or two.

    • I had the same concerns initially, but after reading up a bit more, with the huge userbase and content, IMO it seems more likely that they would be bought out by the likes of Nike, Adidas, etc., rather than go under.

  • They had a 100 day trial a few months ago and I returned my bike. Was super simple and they refunded the full bike & accessory purchase, as well as the 3 months worth of app payments ($59 x 3).

If you've got the amex cashback that's pretty much just free money right?

    • +1

Amex probably delay cash back like cashrewards I'm guessing?

Why didn't you like the peloton? Did you trial the bike or bike+?

      • Yeah, Amex cash back always goes through immediately and isn't impacted by returns in my experience.

I got the bike+ and didn't mind it, but no way it's worth the money IMO. Some of the classes were ok, but I'd rather spend the money on in-person classes, or as mentioned above, I'd rather get a smart trainer/zwift setup and use that

    • Do they refund it to the original payment source?

      • +1

        Yep
