@MeesusEff: To be totally honest with you, I've never tasted it in my life. I remember my parents talking about how disgusting it is when I was a child so I've never had the urge to try it.
@thurston4pm: It's pretty much like a pantry staple for Asians. Fried rice, sandwiches, musubi.
Maybe your parents ate it out of the can or microwaved. It's definitely better pan fried or toasted.
If there is a nuclear war, this would be much better than most of food you could find at the time.
