    Wouldn't recommend these.

    Flimsy as hell.

Don't waste your money and invest in a proper set up.

    • Do you have one?

      • +22

I did. Never again. More time stressing during sets if the thing was going to cave in. Could not concentrate.

        • +5

Can confirm they’re flimsy as and dangerous if you’re benching moderate weight as the back support is thin and you can fall off when pressing

      • +8

        I had one.

        Hence not recommending them.

    • +1

thanks mate - do u have any links to a "proper set up"? doesn't need to be on special… just interested thanks

      • +1

try worldfitness, im not sure if i could post the whole website link here. Bought a squat rack from them before and was quite good. Enough clearance, solid structure, anytime fitness didn't have simple squat rack so i can't compare but it seems just a bit less than anytime fitness's stuffs. They seem to have a sale on atm too

    • Agree!!!! Proper squat rack with adjustable bench and away you go!

    • Only plan to use this with resistance bands.

PcByte really be selling random stuff.

    • +6

Yeah but did you know you can buy a bridge from myer?

      • Link?

          • @nzcoops:

This item is sent directly from our Marketplace partner: MyPlaza

Can take 160kg for moderate bench weight

            • @UsernameChecksIn: Yeah I thought 160kg wasn't too bad haha.

Marketplace partner doesn't mean much though, I know it's 'not Myer' but it's 'still Myer' 🙂 there's a reason you can't buy drugs off amazon, catch, Kogan (now Bunnings) et al, they can't just wash their hands and say "sorry, that's a marketplace seller lol".

          • @nzcoops: That's kind of cool. Pity I don't have an idyllic stream babbling through my suburb

  • +4

    Can’t go wrong for $36

    • +22

      Yes you can.

If it's a flimsy pos then you just end up wasting $36, the hassle of getting rid of a large bulky item and potentially injury while using it.

      • +9

Injury is most concerning, forget about the prices when you end up in 3-6 month in rehabs or worse.

    • Until you guillotine yourself with the bar when it falls apart…

      $36 worth of hard rubbish.

    • +1

yep, and if not happy use the steel for a DIY project ….you couldn’t buy the steel for that money at bunnings ….. i got a gym someone out out for hardware collection …… attacked it with grinder and welder and made a pot plant stand ……

expensive part with gyms is buying the weights …..they never go out for hardwaste collection as people can sell those ….

  • +2

up to 200kg weight capacity…I'll give this a go. Free shipping to ACT as well.
    Thanks OP

    • +1

      I highly doubt 200kg

When i was using the front leg part with only 40kg it already started flexing at the joints.

      • +6

        Includes your body weight.

  • +2

200kg limit, including person. I'll be happy with 75% of that, at $36 delivered to the boonies. Thanks OP.

  • +1

Thanks, bought one. Can't go wrong for $36 delivered.

  • Thanks Op. 36 free shipping good for me ;)

  • +12

is this a loss leader for the local physio?

  • Wait for refunds soon 😁

  • +2

I used these in lockdown and bench about 30% less due to the fear of the thing collapsing, and watch your hands too, pretty much no clearance between hand location and re racking bit.

  • OOS now

  • It went oos when I was checking out :(

    • +1

That's a good thing. $36 worth of junk.

  • +2

Might be a piece of crap but won’t ever find anything better at 36 delivered

  • +3

More expensive to landfill it when you're done after using it once in 6 months.

  • +14

Even if it's only $36, that doesn't make it "good value for money" if it's crap and you injure yourself. This thread is peak-OzBargain.

    • +1

Peak OzBargain? First day here? 😆

  • Ok for beginner only and for anyone used to proper gym equipment, this will be soon collecting dust

  • Package Weight: 23 kg

What is the weight of a good quality brand that does the same things as this product?

  • +

  • +1

Trusting 36 kg flimsy crap with your body, yikes

  • RIP those who bought this one.

    • Indeed. I remember buying pretty much the same thing from kmart years ago. Luckily one day I decided to check the underneath of the bench and noticed it crumbling. Could not tell from above. Would have fallen apart one day while training.

I was 75kg at the time and benching a max of 80kg.

A good $36 death trap present for anyone you hate 😂

On a positive note, with the pandamic behind us, at least a lot more icu beds are available now. So a good chance you're friend might actually survive with permanent injuries.

      • On a positive note, with the pandamic behind us, at least a lot more icu beds are available now.

The pandemic is not behind us, only the draconian but futile containment measures are. The risk is actually much higher now than last year when people were burnt at the stake questioning the efficacy of harsh lock-downs and mask laws. Where have all those witch hunters gone?

      • +1

        with the pandamic behind u

        LOL, righty

      • with the pandamic behind us

LOL! Understatement of the year! :-)
