Mouse and keyboard for everything besides driving/vehicle sims (use a wheel, controller works too) and sports games (controller's your best bet).
Been using a standard wireless Xbox One controller and a 8bitdo SN30 Pro, both just connected through Bluetooth to my PC.
8bitdo SN30 Pro+ and Pro 2 are great. There are sometimes deals posted here for them too.
only for racing - anything with shooting, no chance im using a controller.
I use a PS4 controller for some Steam games. It is plug and play, pretty easy to setup.
I recently upgraded to the 8bitdo controllers (for Elden Ring), but I find I keep going back to keyboard and mouse even when the game is not really optomised for it.
I use an xbox one controller over bluetooth for almost all third person games. It's still difficult to use since the layout isn't memorised for me but it's worth it to lay back in my chair and relax instead of having to sit like a normal human being to use kb/m.
sometimes I use 3rd party xbox one wired controller (can't remember the brand, I got this for my xbox one) for some games like Street Fighter V.
my other xbox one wireless controller can't be used with PC, it is not bluetoothI bought the cafe 63 controller and it's brilliant. Might jump back to keyboard and mouse for FPS but controller is the way to go for adventure and RPG games.
Gaming controllers on PC
shudder
Xbox one controller + dongle for most games.
Except for tycoon games, that’s keyboard and mouse.
I've used knockoff Xbox 360 controllers previously, but am looking at a new one sooner or later.
Essentially only using them for action platformers (Rogue Legacy, Dead Cells, etc), everything else is keyboard and mouse. Yes, even racing games and Elden Ring.
K&M for FPS games.
XBOX controller for Racing games.
PS controllers are shit imo.as I get older I found myself using controller more even on PC games unless it's competitive fps, yes I even use controllers for certain fps games. It's just more relaxed to put your back into your seats and enjoy the game rather than having to go full gamer stance.
100%
Depends on game.
Xbox wireless controller for racing games
Xbox 360 wired controller has been great for a multitude of my PC gaming
Series X controller for most games. Unless its a competitive shooter or a sim game.
I use an Xbox Wireless Controller + wireless adaptor for some games.
