This phone seems good. Fast processor, IP67, 5G, AMOLED, stereo speakers. Very slim for 5,000mAH battery too. Just no 3.5mm jack. I wonder how well the virtual proximity sensing works.

    • Yeh looks like a better value version of A53

The proximity sensor is always a concern when it's software based.

    $498 + $100 GC at HN

Gerry is on the ball these days

    • Interestingly, I've just noticed that the A33 that HN is selling only has 4Gb of RAM. Not sure if it's accurate or if it's a typo on HN side. If I do a search for the model number, it appears to be the 6Gb RAM version.

      • Australian model has 6gb. They might have copied from European specs.

samsung a52s 5g is probably a better phone for similar price

with ebay plus with PLUSFY22 code makes this phone $506.22

      a33 has 5yrs security + 4 OS updates

a52s has 3yrs remaining security and 2 OS updates left

apart from this what other the differences. I think a52s has a headphone jack. a33 no headphone jack is a downer.
anyone know if the a33 comes with a charging brick?

        • a33 no charging brick in the box.
a52s comes with slow charger (15w).
both support 25w fast charger ( best to get the official Samsung one)

  • anything cheaper like around $200 that's decent?

    • If you don't mind losing 5G and have ebay plus: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/374031819594 for $234

It's the Redmi Note 11. 90Hz AMOLED display, great battery life, headphone jack and SD slot, decent camera performance for the price range.

      • Looks good no need for 5G, and SD slot is great thank you

  • No nfc

  • I know it's Banggood but I would purchase the nfc version of the Redmi Note 11 from there.

ok just paid $429 incl case and screen protector via Samsung EPP portal after $50 voucher. I think its a great price for a phone which has support for 4 yrs.

    • Includes a fast charger. Good deal.

      • doesnt have wireless charging though…

        • +1

True but I've never used it in my current phone. It makes the phone warm, which is bad for the battery.

    • how do you get the $50 voucher?

    • +1

      Thanks, just did the same
