Here we go again, cheap lunch sorted

WHO ELSE NOTICED MOST VALUE RANGE PIZZAS ARE $5.95 NOW grabs pitchfork

    • +2

All still $5 at my local.

      • +2

Mmmm checked a few stores around Sydney and they were all up
        sadface

      • Same in WA, all 5 bucks

    • +9

We should name and shame those $5.95 stores. That is a 19% inflated price.

    • +1

It's just not right to eat pizza with any type of fork.

    • +3

Makes sense to me, literally all input costs are up, it is pretty ridiculous. (Finance guy here).
Also check this out, great infographic.

    • Hawaiian and Godfather have gone up to $8.95 as well.

  • I just had pizza hut last night with my doordash credits. Perfect timing, I need 7 days for my stomach to recover.

  • +1

Is this for all stores? Last time I saw one of these, NSW missed out and my day was ruined.

  • +2

    But what's the point ???

Why cant dominos afford to keep the pizza thickness same first ?? instead of doing these promos??? (As someone mentioned in past thin n crispy are like crackers now LoL Why dominos??? )

They'll honestly be a lot lot better of increasing the pizza thickness than doing these promos or like free giveaways, otherwise they are loosing regular customers. Anyone in retail/ Food industry knows it hurts a lot lot more to loose a regular customer who perhaps spends less per transaction but orders regularly instead of some occasional new big spender.

    • +4

Thickness? Just order deep pan bro, it doesn't cost any extra

      • Yea I normally used to get deep pan before, now that is like old classic crust.
to get same thickness have to pay them $3 extra for the extra large but not really interested in that.

        • :/

        • +3

Eh? Extra large comes with classic crust. A deep pan will be thicker (but smaller in diameter).

      • +2

Tell me you’re not Italian without saying you’re not

    • +3

All fast food places do this and it's DUMB. Instead of upping the price they change the product making it "lesser" in some way each time. A bit over a year ago they had peking duck, BBQ brisket, and probably others I've forgotten. I remember they had a $5 each pizza deal on to promote them - but now those pizzas are gone!

      • +2

I want my food prices it stay the same forever (insert any service here)!
I don't care about how it gets to me, with rising costs of stock, transport, wages, just give me my $4 pizza while still in business, and you worry about the franchise closing on you!

        • 4$ is pickup so it's Fair

      • +4

        The term is Shrinkflation

        • +1

          Exactly, pay more for less
$5 value range was fine, aren't exactly worth $8.

        • +7

In 2009 Cadbury blocks went from 250g to 220g
In 2015 it went from 220 to 200g
In 2019 it went from 200 to 180g

Yet we are still paying the same amount.

          • +2

@SnowDragon: When prices go up, it only means the value of the paper currency has gone down

Where are the New Yorker range pizzas Dominos!!!!! OZBros did you find any in SA?

  • Time to stock up.

  • pointless as they become soooo busy it's not worth the extra wait time. Plus most places start running out of ingredients when there's some super special on, so they scab with the amount of toppings they put on too.

    • Really unsure why you were downvoted here as you spoke the truth

    • -1

100%. its because these days some people go overboard and ruin it for everyone else by ordering boatloads of pizza.

    • The last 2 times in April and May during the same offer they actually advertised it with a popup when you went to make an order, so there would have been a whole bunch of people who wouldn't normally know about it that ordered more than normal. So maybe that was the problem at your store. I noticed this time though that the popup ad wasn't there and you would have had to know about the deal from somewhere else to take advantage of it.

And for the record, I haven't noticed any issues with toppings ever at my store, and I usually only go during these types of specials.

  • Cheers. Accidentally threw out the flyer

  • Please remind me if bogof Tuesdays is offered by PH or domino's

    Suggestions for healthiest pizza?

13kg down, I'm not quite ready for the 'its only one cheat meal' just yet, but I haven't had pizza in weeks and weeks

    • Just get one without meat and cheese.
Shit How spicy veg trio ain't $5 anymore (or even in the value range, it's pretty simple)

    • Cauliflower base with no cheese and processed meats.

      • Lol processed meats and cheese is the worst

      • This but with the chicken breast pieces only. You'd be alright putting on a non creamy pizza swirl if you're ok with the sugar hit.

        • Go for it, probably not real chicken anyway

    • +1

Thats a good achievement. I am only 3KG down since last 1.5 months. Another 17 more to go :(

      • +3

        Was 96+ down to 83
Want to get to at least 78. So around 18 off total
I've really plateaued ATM, and moving from here is painstakingly slow.
0.5kg a week is steady and really good. Well done.

        • What an effort. Well done!

        • well done

        • Nice! Technically I shouldnt even be on this page. Moving off now. Didnt see any codes ;)

    • Walk to Domino's instead of driving. Them you can walk off that deliciousness

    • the bases have a lot of calories, try finding a low calorie base or making your own. if you're looking for fast food version then toppings won't change too much just try to portion control and have 2-3 slices instead of 6-8

    • Nothing from a franchise

    • "Margherita"?

  • +2

Ordered for tomorrow used voucher and picked up today, they changed it in store… THANKS OP!

    • +1

      Well played…

Don't have to order tomorrow, just pick up for tomorrow

  • +1

Last time I had Domino's I was surprised by how small the pizza was. I reckon they hope people don't notice as they shrink it little by little then before we know it a large pizza would be the size of a cheeseburger.

    • -2

You could live with it for $3-4

    • You should measure it each time to backup your claim :)

    • Shrinkflation.

    • And garlic cheese bread

Anyone has any codes for a non-App transaction ?

I am disliking the use of smartphone apps to order :-P

  • Does anyone buy these and divide them up and freeze them for future use? Do they defrost/reheat well?

    • Have done in the past. Will reheat pretty well either in sandwich press or oven for me. Perhaps air fryer as well, but I don’t have one to verify.

      • +1

only ever reheated the next day but sandwich press keeps it crispy, haven't tried oven since i usually only have 2-3 slices left but if i'm lazy microwave will do the job but isn't as nice as on the sandwich press

    • Stick it into a Microwave to initial warm then into the Grill or Hot Oven to crisp it up.

    • Fridge and frypan is nice and crispy

My order is already 15 minutes behind. Their tracker is complete BS.

    • Refresh the page and you will see it go back to the beginning of the step you were up to…

      • +1

I know how to use it. They gave an estimated time. Got there on time and was showing 11 minutes to go on the monitor inside but no change on the tracker. Then it got extended a few minutes more after that.

  • when is this expiring?

    • 12am ?

      • seems to be expired as vouchers not applying anymore. Please prove me wrong

Update: cannot order in advance it seems, otherwise works for pickup today until 11.59pm.

        • my closest stores are closed now anyway

i bought it around 530pm had to sue the app only not desktop

  • +1

Did ozbargain website crash at about 5pm today? Or is it just me?

    • +1

Lots of websites broke for me at 5pm. News.com.au was the only one I could randomly get onto when I was testing a few to work out what was going on! So I guess AWS or someone went down briefly and took everything with it!

    • +1

      Cloudflare went down

    • Ozbargain was down for me too

  • +1

pizza is getting smaller and smaller

    • +3

As you eat each slice one by one?

      • +1

        Magic!

  • Pretty funny seeing everyone get lots of pizzas (including me). My local was smashed and had like 10 people visibility struggling to keep up - good deal 👍🏼

  • Vouchers expired, tried for traditional pizza. Anyone?

Update: cannot order in advance it seems, otherwise works for pickup today until 11.59pm.

    • You must be new here. If you could order for different days then people would just order one for every day of the month until the next deal. And you snooze you lose, he posted it a week in advance.

      • That's what I did yesterday but it wasn't accepting the voucher anymore for advanced dates. What did I miss here?

        • Because your advance order was for the valid day of the voucher??

          • @2024: Yes was ordering for today. Tried to place an order on Tuesday 21st for Thu 23rd. Didn't work.

  • Stock up for winter.

    Voucher expired
