you'll likely need install one on each level.
This would perform much better than that mesh garbage if set up correctly.
Not in my experience. I have gone through 5 warranty replacements. They keep losing connection, or freeze after an update. Amazing signal, but I tried a google mesh setup and achieved reliable internet for the first time in years.
assuming its a standard small-mid size house (not double brick or anything else that complicates wifi penetration) 1 unit should be OK
however if you want seamless experience and best performance 2 units are always best.I assume this a router as well? this is most defiantly not a router - just good Access Point
No this is an AP (Access Point)
Oh no! $20 cheaper than yesterday and I was so sitting on the fence then. Hang my head in shame.
yes, I ordered it last week. Thinking of returning and reordering.
I get people were ordering 1 or 2 at a time, but there was a bunch ordering 5 at a time (yes, I am having a sulk cause I missed out lol)
I have two floors, one U6-Lite for each floor, but one end of the upper floor is a little weak with Wifi - can I mix and match the Lites with the Pros?
Yes, you can mix and match any of the UniFi AP's. The only thing to be aware of is each AP's specifications, place them in places appropriate for their strengths/weaknesses. For example, place the Pro somewhere where you expect the majority of wireless devices will spend most of their time. I'd also recommend tweaking the 2.4GHz broadcast power on the Lite so that most devices prefer the Pro, either that or just completely disable 2.4G on the Lite all together.
Makes me wonder if I should upgrade my AC pro and or nanoHD!
That's a different listing, but the code appears to apply.
Whether or not they actually have stock to fulfill it is anyone's guess. (You should see the lead times for some networking products in the Ubiquiti and other vendors lines. Some quote 2023 dates for certain products.)
Hard crowd! Got downvoted…. what for lol? OOS??
OP, does this work okay for 2 level / multi floor house? Or do we need satellites? Since TP-Link Deco and Netgear Orbi come with 2-3 units, just wondering if this will work good?
I assume this a router as well?
