    That was quick.

    Edit:

    Swiutch Sports

Ahh, turns out it’s the bootleg version.

Would be interested to know if people are still playing this.

We played it for an hour and nothing since then (didn't try online and don't want to).

    • Due to personal circumstances, have been playing it more then normally would. But IMO if it wasn't for that, I probably wouldn't touch it again.

Yup similar experience here. The wife and I got pretty into it for an hour, did all the sports then a “now what”.

We both played wii sports for years, bowling just didn’t feel the same for some reason. Maybe because of the controls change but it felt.. easier?

For those on the fence: wait til it gets cheaper. $29-39 is max I’d pay.

      • Thanks mate, wasn't sure if it was worth getting it. Your recco made me reconsider.

      • Thanks for the info - I still play Table Tennis on the WiiU

The bluetooth vs the old wii controller is a lot less sensitive , so it doesn't feel the same with the motion control.

Holding the button down is so the switch controller can maintain connectivity better apparently. Your muscle memory from the wii bowling is working against you.

        • I remember the marketing hype for the switch controllers when it first released, improved gyros and hd rumble to feel the rocks in that 1-2 switch game I never bought. Is that utilised at all? Shame the motion controls feel like a step backwards

From what I’ve heard the online makes it far better with ranking and all that.
      Otherwise offline is pretty bland.

      • +7

This game was always about local multiplayer though… Friends in your lounge room.

Why would I wanna play golf with randoms on the internet? Collecting stickers and outfits doesn't seem fun enough to go online for.

        • +2

Disagree with it being local or multilayer. Both modes are fun.

Local, the trash talk, no lag
Multiplayer - teaming up with randoms in volleyball or soccer, very non toxic

    • The online is the whole point of it with this one. It’s the only way to unlock cosmetics. Going up the ranks is fun too.

Got 20+ hours in it and still playing. Mixture of couch coop, online ranking and online with friends.

Online with friends is a bit annoying as you cannot choose to be all in the same team.

Personally review and recommendation. If you are playing it for one mode, it's lackluster - dont get it. If you are planning to play with close friends when they are over and online, it's pretty good.

    • Online is actually good. I play a bit every day

    • Will the $10 Newsletter credit work on this?

      • +1

Not 100% sure what the T&Cs are but if the newsletter credit acts like a form of gift card where you can apply it to anything
        I don’t see why it shouldn’t work

There’s a $50 min spend tho (excludes gift cards and interactive gaming)

      • Sadly doesn't work. Just tried. Falls into 'interactive gaming' :(

  • +1

Should I get it?? I have Ring Fit Adventure and haven't played much on it lately. Was useful during lockdowns though.

    • Different games really. This one's more kid and multiplayer friendly.

    • yeah same Ring Fit was ok but it got old quickly.

  • +2

Played this , still think Wii sports club on the Wii U is better

    • +3

Easy more variety on wii sports resort.

Waiting for the drip feed of DLC that should have been on the game on day 1 is frustrating.

      • -1

        Way more variety*

  • wow already droping in price I did enjoy this game though all 10 min of playing it lol.

    • Not drop price but just some discount for limited quantity at Amazon.
Harvey Norman also sells at $49 in early May for limited quantity.
Most retailers still selling at $59 to $69 right now.
@$49 is damn worth it. Buying the leg strap alone is already RRP$13.90.
A must game for those with family, children and siblings.
My kids love this game and sweating it out regularly esp Badminton, Tennis, Volleyball, Football and Chambara.
The Bowling is more relaxed game.
The Nintendo Switch is adding the Golf Game soon.
I would recommend this game, but make sure you have at least 100 square foot free area in the living or recreational area.
Suggest you purchase the “Nintendo Switch sports accessories package” that come with tennis rackets, golf clubs, sword, badminton rackets etc which is selling at $65 to $69, to enjoy this game more realistically and throughly.

      • Just to be clear because I don't know anyone using feet here, but that's a 3m x 3m space. It's not a small area for sure, but doable.

      • yeah its ok, I guess I am not that impressed because its not the full wii sports experience they are missing a few events.

  • too bad no HV gift card that was a steal!

  • Ah, used up my JB Perks voucher to get it for 49 just yesterday. Don't suppose they'd give me $10 credit?

  • Shame to hear that post launch people are not liking this one. I was looking forward to how fun the Tennis and Bowling games were. Is the problem that the accuracy isn't as good, or that it's too geared up for online?

  • underwhelming

  • Wife and I are both still enjoying this one, hasn't felt like a chore playing online (I think the use of emotes to communicate is the exact right level when playing with randoms) to unlock cosmetics, and have had a couple of good nights with people around playing locally.
That said, I'd still rather pay the $56 on the eShop to have it digitally than $49 to get it on a cart, just because it's something I might jump into for 15 minutes in between other games. Pretty sure there will be discounted eShop credit at Big W shortly to make it pretty well on par price wise.

  • +1

All they have to do is remastered the wii sport and wii sport resort. Then put them into one package, majority of people will be happy about it.

    • And used Joycons which aren't as good as the wii motion plus remotes.
