I ordered this and it arrived today Sealed/Brand new. I was worried I would get something else but to my surprise it was the correct item!
I think next cheapest price is $109 + shipping. So 60% off. There are new models so I think they are clearing these out.

When I plugged it in to charge, 1 out of 3 lights was flashing so battery nearly depleted. Charging finished in 2.5 hours, then turned it on and it works fine. Product date first available: Dec 2019.
EFM is a well known Australian phone case manufacturer apparently. The "Havana" speaker seems to be priced above the "Toledo" according to their website. Apparently the Toledo/Miatone is a JBL clone so maybe that one has better bass I don't know.
By the way there is NO SEXY SPEAKER VOICE like shown in the popular YouTube review of the Toledo, the Havana has a regular sounding voice.

My opinion: It sounds like a bluetooth speaker. Not much in terms of high frequency but ok for casual listening. It does not sound smaller or bigger than it looks, at about 20cm tall is sounds about right for it's size. User manual says 7-9 hours battery-life, pretty normal for a Bluetooth speaker. 2 years warranty.

Good points: + It is a standing design like UE Boom so it takes less space, + Handsome design, + Battery level indicator, + USB charger included, + Aux port? if anyone still uses those.
Bad points: - Touch controls on top are a little funny, tapping does nothing you kind of need to hold it to trigger. - The packaging is a tube, which is tough to twist open because of the vacuum, then when it pops off the speaker sits only halfway in the bottom so it almost fell out (Be careful).

From what I can hear there are 2 speakers one left and one right side, then a passive bass thing in the middle facing forward.
Says 20w didn't sound like that out of the box, after using the PEQ on free Onkyo Player App it now sounds like 20w but max volume is reduced.

Here is my PEQ setting if anyone wants to try (ignore the Preset name) https://imgur.com/a/hUcBzUy.
How to use Onkyo PEQ: With nothing playing tap EQ on bottom left, then tap the wavy logo top middle, then tap "Preset" and select 11 band to get the dots, you can add dots by holding where there is no dot and moving.
Bass peak is at 0dB so no clipping. There is always a sacrifice, if you want more powerful bass you will lower max SPL (volume). It is fine for listening indoors.
Dot 2 = 74Hz -12.0dB, Dot 3 = 75Hz -3.0dB, Dot 4 = 76Hz -0.4dB. Dot 5 = 179Hz -0.6dB, Dot 6 = 190Hz -6.0dB, Dot 7 = 206Hz -11.0dB. The rest are on the lines so you can figure it out.
Adjust to your liking but in my experience adding more highs muffles the mids. Bluetooth speakers are only really good for Bass and mids.
I based my EQ on the FR of 2 inch drivers most commonly used in Bluetooth speakers (I think Havana uses 2x of them), they have severe roll-off below 200hz.

I also recommend using MP3Gain to normalize volume of your tracks to human ear perception. Program might be hard to use but helps eliminate clipping and distortion. But it is not completely necessary.

Enjoy!

    Quality post op, thanks

Yup thought it was a good price. A few days ago it was around $49, watched it drop around $1 every 24 hours until it hit $42 and stayed there more than 24 hours so I got cold feet and ordered.
I have Prime this month so it arrived next day and I was able to confirm you get the actual speaker.
(But even if you don't have Prime you can get free delivery because it's over $39)

No problem at all. Hope it is a good enough bargain.

    Showing $128 for me.

    • Sorry I think the price went up after more people purchased. I purchased it yesterday and the price stayed the same so I'm not sure what's different. Maybe if 10 people buy the price goes up.

  • 128 now :(

    • Amazon must have changed the price after selling a few ಥ_ಥ

    I DON'T NEED IT

    I DON'T NEED IT

    I DON'T NEED IT

    I DON'T NEED IT

    But it's a bargain (42)

    Edit : No longer a bargain (128)

  • Amazon ended the party.

It went from "In stock" to "Only 3 left in stock" now so I am thinking more than a few people were able to purchase. Hope some of you got a good deal.

    • I realised I did not account for the passive radiator affecting the stock FR when I adjusted the PEQ.
Just going by most Bluetooth speaker FR with 2 speakers + single passive radiator on Rtings, the roll off starts lower at 150hz not 200hz.
So I made these adjustments to the Dots in my post..
      Dot 5 = 149Hz -0.6dBm, Dot 6 = 162Hz -6.2dB, Dot 7 = 201Hz -11.0dB.
This got rid of a small peak in the lower midrange which was causing the speaker to sound boxy. It cleared up the mids quite a bit and now the Havana sounds much better.

      • What are you using as your equalizer?
        Is this on phone?

        • +1

It is a free version App on the phone called Onkyo HF Player which has a Parametric EQ.
In my post you can find the link to a screenshot I took of the PEQ.

        • Forgot to mention the App is a player so you have to access your music library and play it in the App for the EQ to have effect.

Also a few more tips: When on the now playing page in the App if you tap the gear icon in the top right it will take you to settings.
Make sure Upsampling is off, Thread priority is "medium" and Equalizer Quality is "SD". You don't need any of these set any higher since Bluetooth quality will reduce any possible improvement anyway.

Playing in the App with EQ on consumes slightly more battery life than with EQ off but in my experience it is barely noticeable with these settings. 30 hours of Bluetooth audio playback might be reduced to like 24 hours. But if you set these settings any higher, you will see your battery drain noticeably quicker with no real benefit.
(I got "30 hours" Bluetooth playback from searching google and finding this post: https://www.quora.com/What-is-more-battery-consuming-using-m…)

Also if the ads in the free version bother you, you can get rid of them by turning on airplane mode and just enabling bluetooth to play to your speaker. Not necessary though since the ad is really small and does not get in the way. In my experience the ad often fails to even load even with WiFi on lol.

  • Looks a bit too phallic for me. Makes me quite uncomfortable.
