  • How do you mount them? Can people easily steal them?

    • There is a secure mounting plate attached to the wall, and the doorbell locks in. You need a key to unmount it, which is inserted in at the bottom (or top, I can't remember) - not sure if any thin piece of metal could do the same job tho

When you report your camera or doorbell stolen, you can get a replacement with no additional cost, if you qualify.

Only records last 3 hours without subscription
Got mine few months back, wired. Works great.

    • Does wiring it limit the lag between the button pressing and the ding ding? As I hear the lag is a real issue with this doorbell

    • Which transformer did you use

      • i had old wired door bell with chime inside, just replaced it with this as per instruction in the app.

  • Looking for the best wireless/wifi front door camera.

Front window was smashed on the weekend.
As well as CCTV, police suggested getting a front door Cam too

    • indoor or outdoor?

      • Under a little alcove part to the front door.
        Yes, outdoor.

I currently have a fixed doorbell, with remote bell at the middle/back of the house.

    • IMHO, Amcrest AD410. Does rtsp feed, I have mine connected to NVR and their built in human + motion detection is very good. 2k main stream, 1080p sub stream

      • Interesting; too bad it's a wired version…totally forgot to put the wiring when built the house back in 2015 :'(

  • Question is there another device inside the house that will "RING" when the doorbell is pressed?

    • Google nest assistant

If you have a Google Home/Nest device, it will announce it on that. You'll also get a notification on your phone via the Google Home app.

    • I have a Lenovo smart display 10", it rings and shows me the video when someone press the bell, it takes upto 5 secs, but on phone u get within 3 secs
Edit: if you have a old chime, it will ring too when u connect with wires. mine works great with old chime and smart display

    • If you have nest aware and faces set up, it will say "Ozone141 is at the front door"

had the tuya and xiaomi doorbell before this it took too long to notify anyone who at the front door or when they press. with google it about 3 sec wont go back to any other

  • Good price on this. Lucky you got Officeworks to do a price beat, I've had no luck on with my local store matching prices recently…. they seem to use any excuse not to do it.

I rang the 1300 number and they were very good, asked me what site I had seen it and they browsed to the site and confirmed the price. They completed the order, took payment over phone, email a receipt and arranged pickup from local store.

  • Thanks heaps for sharing. Using this I managed to get Officeworks to price beat a Nest Doorbell, Nest Hub Max and Nest Outdoor Camera for a total of $765.70. These in a bundle on the google website is $999. Great bargain!

Now $248 at officeworks if you don’t get any joy with price matching.
