I bought a Bosch blue 18v drill and driver set from Blackwoods about 3 or 4 years ago - have been going great! So I've now just ordered a few extra skins to use with it, some great deals there!

While I've got your attention, take note of the website issues people were talking about, roughly boiling down to:
1. sluggish under even moderate OzBargain load
2. stock not being available to order online, but you could order it on the phone and have it shipped between stores
3. hard to search for bargains. Under the EOFY sale page, you can't sort by price or by discount - that would be nice

I just ordered the grinder in Perth (said 3 still available when I ordered) and got the confirmation email in about 1-2 minutes. I'd say the system was struggling big time earlier.

I have both Makita and Bosch. Bosch feels a lot nicer to use but Makita has so much more range. So if you're going to a few tools, then consider Makita because of the range available with the same batteries.
I got in to the Bosch Blue ecosystem when Bunnings had them on clearance a year or two ago.
Given how cheap some of the Makita and DeWalt kits are in this deal, I'd probably be grabbing one of those if I wasn't already in it as they have a good range of outdoor/garden tools as well. I think the quality is much the same
Thanks for the thoughts. I'm with ryobi but don't have everything. According to youtube comparison tests, Makita and Milkwaukee are consistently leagues above the rest in terms of power and control (and $$$).
But xmail and stinypoo did bring up a wise point. Bosch is much cheaper here. I'm gonna reason its better to buy cheaper (with decent quality like you say) for something I use infrequently and update it sooner than later. Tech is always being updated with better capabilities, smaller chips, form factor and power. I threw in with ryobi when they brought out their HP range and my neighbour always complains how his non-hp hammer drill feels like a toy compared to my hp one.
I did have the FOMO on the Makita due to its wow factor but I'm gonna be realistic, I'm not using this stuff for trade. Haha I'm gonna throw in with Bosch too! Cheers Sogster!
Bosch also has the best warranty on paper with 6years for tool and battery. Dewalt cannot beat that they have 1 year on battery!
@some_one_some_where: Hell yeh! I did see Americans were amazed at how Aussies were being given a 6 yr warranty. Nothing worse than an expensive out of warranty paper weight. Also saw bosch has safety mechanisms that other brands don't (toggable anti-kick, stop on drop etc). I'm not sure if they'll be a feature in these clearance items but I do like how bosch is being safety conscious especially since power tools are getting more and more powerful by the year.

I rang my local branch regarding Bosch items. She did a few searches for me. Unfortunately it seems to be that heaps of items were over sold, like 16+ "reserve" per most items or something and this is at multiple stores Australia wide. So people, like me have bought online and if it's pending and you didn't get a confirmation email it's likely you're "in line" and the sale won't go through.
The only Bosch item she could find available from one store was the original grinder listed in the deal which she ordered for me.

Same. I just rang, and now I have my order confirmations. Probably worth you doing the same.
I just called (1800 750 588) and was told that they had an influx of order last night and the system didn't know what to do with them. She said that they are going through the orders now and removing them all from 'exception?'. She assured me that if I received a web order number that I should receive my confirmation email by the end of today, and if I don't, to call back in the morning. I also have the charge pending on my credit card.

Still an issue for me too - ordered ~5:30pm Monday, CC was charged, no emails.
Called them today and they couldn't find a record of the order - they gave me the number of the web tech support team to follow up, but nobody picking up the phone.

I am based in Brisbane, but can ring up store with stock and order and assume they can do interstate delivery.
I think stock of most bosch skins/combos is already gone. I ordered a BOSCH 0611904040 Compact Rotary Hammer Skin - Cordless - Brushless - 18V - GBH18-ECLI via phone, told they had stock (8), order put through CC charged etc, got an invoice via email. Was phoned back saying all stock gone. The girl didn't understand why their system showed stock when ordered, but when went to allocate/send none.
