Am wondering what new phone to get as I have broke my A71 and am looking to spend around $1000 at most. I'm looking at two phones at the moment, the S22 and the Pixel 6. Id prefer the pixel because of great features from google and inbuilt support from google photos but I know Samsung would be a safer option in terms of reliability and such. Any suggestions? Any phones are welcome not just the two I mentioned. Oh and I would like the phone to be Android.
Yeah I saw that deal but would be interested in the 256gb version as photos seem to take up a lot of space these days

Or Pixel 6a if you don't need everything the 6 has and can wait for it's release date, 28 July.
I did see the pixel 6a and it looks very promising but camera sensors are a lot lower quality so I wonder how big of a difference photo quality will be.
Pixel 6 Pro owner here and while there was definitely some software issues at launch. They have gotten much better and it's been great since the last few updates.
I recall there was an S21 deal posted in the last few days for less than $700. Maybe look into that.

I actually was in the same boat around 2 weeks ago, I opted for the S22 over the Pixel 6, only reason being was Samsung had a promo on for a free Samsung Watch 4 LTE - $1249, I was in the market to buy a Samsung watch 4 and this was the reason for my purchase, my drivers to purchase the S22 was it was smaller in size, weighs less, better protection. At the time the Pixel 6 was available through old Telstra account, bought outright at $799, had the bonus watch not been on offer I would have opted for the Pixel 6 which my wife just bought, she already has the new Samsung watch so no point on doing this for both of us.
Samsung do currently have a bonus offer on the S22 which started today for Bonus MB, IE 256mb for 128mb phone and trade up, I've seen both in action as we have them both, it's a lot of money for the difference in cost but it's your decision, and depends on what you're mainly going to use it for I suppose, maybe worth while waiting for the Pixel 6 to come down to the $799 price again before purchasing :-)

Yep might just wait out a deal on the pixel 6, noticed the s22 deal but can get it for around the same price normally on the education store anyways. Will let you know what I end up going but will hope for some EOFY sales.
Ended up getting the pixel 6 pro as it was on sale for $999!
